Heck, in Japan they are already working on robots making breakfast for us (The kind of robots most people think of not a 'microwave' robot). I don't think it's scripted at all and they probably have been working on Project Natale, or Kinect now, for a very long time working on the processing of the speeches and how long it takes to respond back.
