Naturally, Darc's party was more interesting, and his story more compelling, but Kharg doesn't exactly have it easy either. From his mother's death, to the villagers throwing rocks at him and calling him a demon, to ripping off his own wings. Most of the human party was interesting as well, particularly Maru. Paulette was interesting, and I like axes, so naturally I liked Ganz as well, despite him not being as developed as the others. Overall great characters and a great story and presentation.

Playing as Kharg and his band of annoying buddies were the boring bits, I didn't care what happened to the rich boy who got what he wanted, I wanted to play as Darc. Period.

Honestly, I enjoyed the game for a few hours but like most arc the lad games, I seem to get really bored with the story and characters. It would have been more interesting if everything wasn't such a cliche. There are so many games exactly like this one with different races hating each other. The recent example is psp game Hexyz Force. I was looking for some old rpgs to play on ps2 and this game was so cheap at game store so I decided to try it. I hated that you couldn't choose your character.

I personally like Darc better, as I'm sure many others do. I like Kharg's way of thinking, but he's just too cliche. He's too... Goody, you know? Darc seems to have more of a realistic look on things, and a more realistic attitude. Kharg is too good.

Darc was offended by Kharg's comment because the Slothians are weak do-nothings. He further explains: "We Deimos live for war! It's all we know!" Becoming weak and ineffectual is worse than death for them.

well..obviously not ALL deimos live for war if the slothians can get along with humans, and kharg wasn't too offended when darc wanted them to be more like the people on the island. if the humans were to be like the island but the deimos were to continue living for war, the deimos would just wipe out the humans. so unless that was darcs plan, then the battle was just horribly pointless. and yes, i have beaten the entire game, so i know that half of it is horribly random...
