I may be wrong, but I think that this is the guitar that John Lennon used during the Revolver and Sgt. Pepper sessions (and of course, for some time afterwards, including the legendary concert on the roof). I think that John is even holding a Casino on the back cover of Revolver.
(Beatles fanatics - pls correct me if I'm wrong...)
Yeah, you´re right...but the first Beatle who got an epiphone casino was Paul McCartney...yes...he got it as a present by the epihone company...second was George and third John...George and John played the casino at the revolver and sergeant pepper sessions...after that they gave them psychedelic colours, only Pauls casino holds it original colour...sorry for my bad english...see you...
That is one beautiful-sounding guitar. Gorgeous tone. Nice playing too !
Have you ever played the *regular* Casino ? If so, could you please tell me what you have found the main differences to be.
I'm considering getting a Casino but I don't know which one to get, and there is nowhere around here that I can try them; I will have to order the guitar from a website.
Nice guitar. Are you happy with the Polyurathane paint job? I have heard that they can get a bit too shiny? Nitrocellulose lacuqer is supposed to be better but Epi only used this on limited run "Assembled in USA" models....
Maybe nitrocellulose gives a better sound to an accoustic instrument, when its not applied heavely. On an electric guitar it makes little difference if any. A benefit of polyurathane is that it doesn't rub off and become gummy from humidity. I have a Rickenbacker 325 and it has a nitro finish and it gets a sticky neck when my hand gets a bit damp from sweat. My Elitist Casino always feels good.
May I ask if that's some sort of "instrumental backing track" you're using? .. and if so, where did you acquire it? Sounds smooth! Great stuff! And I love your timing!
are the p90's on this puppy really good? because i was considering slappin' on some humbuckers but what is your opinion?
