  • i studied with emilio for 2 years from 2002-04, this is so cool to see him playing again, now that i am back in the states. i bought his guitar from him, a juan lopez aguilarte, that he had made for him in 98, it is one of my most prized possesions.

  • I hope you enjoy your Lopez. Emilio told me once that had to sell it to pay his bills. That is the hard fate of being a flamencomusician in Andalucia. You can be a brilliant guitarist, Emilio is maybe one of the best right now, but it is difficult to survive anyway. Can you imagine how hard it must be to sell your guitar - practicaly a part of your body...

  • I don't know, emilio has a different guitar every year. it's his hands that are great not the guitar necessarily. last i saw him he was playing a bernal, not a proffessional model, one of their middle of the road ones, and sounded better than ever. He's kind of a guitar of the minute guy. The guitar that I have of his was more special though, because he had it custom made for him.

  • very cool! I saw him in a concert in la Puebla de Cazalla in 05'....
