I can hear a bassline laying a cool groove to this one - it would kick in and give the song an immediate jolt after the little guitar-only intro.

The movement at the end of the chorus is well done. Very creative. You don't just stick to the standards do you? Very reminiscent of No Doubt.

Well you can chew my ear out anytime. I like to discuss songwriting. I understand where your teacher is coming from. Folks today dont have a lot of patience. so getting to the chorus quick is advantagous sometimes but I think you need to play it how you feel it. Great song!
