  • whats the difference btw eating raw fish (sashimi or sushi) and this/ lol. i dont see why this is disgusting. looks abit gross but eatable

  • this is absolutely disgusting

  • omg its like spider legs!!

  • It's really not too bad. I had it when I was little and living in Korea. Tastes just like normal sea food.

I was freaked out when I saw the tentacles moving for the first time, but after a few minutes they usually stop moving. That's when I eat them.

  • looks fucking good!!

and yes, i would try dog

  • The scattering of green onions on the plate make a nice serving suggestion.

  • wow. i cant stand eating most fish, i dont like the taste. this definetly would kill me ^^

  • I hate you

  • thats not true! yes some Koreans eat dogs but not all koreans! and they dont eat dogs alive r u crazy? and they dont pull out their balls or anything. And they do not cover it with kimchi! do u have problems with insulting us Koreans? :( >:(

  • Wow hooray for ignorance!!!

  • ur just a racist. its something called CULTURE, ok? and btw stop stereotyping.

  • Dumb French person, m2flili. Who care about France anyways?

  • I am VERY shamed to read the comment below mine. I am made Korean and I am very happy about it. As for this food, I haven't tried it before, but it sure would be an adventure lol. I think like I'd feel like a real sanayi pawning that lol.

  • wow, that guy is daring. I'd never take food from a plate where the food is still moving.

  • I'm going to be eating that?? D:!!

  • hehehe. take it back.. I said COOKED!

  • I like my food DEAD, thanks.

  • korea is Vegetarianism

  • korea is Vegetarianism

  • I've actually had that before. I thought it was pretty good.

Those suction cup thingies stick to your teeth and gums.

I wanted to grab two of them and stick them to my upper lip so I would have a wriggling mustache.

  • they cutted it and it's still moving...amazing O_O i can't eat live and raw things...not because it is cruel, because i will vomit

  • ew ew ew!!! i will not ever eat a tentacle in my life!

  • Gives a new meaning to tossed salad !

  • Holly COW.that food looks tasty

  • damn thats some crazy shit! hah wow, I wonder if there's anything nearby here like that,I'd really like to try that. Nice.

(seriously, does anyone know? Near Toronto maybe?)

  • So instead of talking about how people are being served squirming squid tentacles (or the inappropriately titled video) but instead talking about Korean food, anti-American propaganda, making sarcastic comments that may or may not be true, making comments that are oddly inappropriate, and saying how living squirming tentacles are not so bad. Good to see youtube up and alive with a population of crazies, cynics, optimists, the inapropriate, and the rare normal person (if prepubescent girls count)

  • @smtwinz I'm still waiting for someone to point out that they "don't feel sorry" for someone.

Something like "I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR THE GUY WHO SERVED THAT DISH, HE CHOSE THAT JOB ANYWAY" or "I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GROSSED OUT BY THIS VIDEO, THEY CHOSE TO CLICK ON IT"

And then they can go on about how they're "realists" and how kids today are so damn soft or something.

I'm waiting for you to tell me how much of a horrible sin it is to reply to a 3 year old comment.

  • So how did it taste?

  • no its not like sushi...

sushi is dead and not moving

    this is alive and moving...

    a line you know...

  • But this is still raw, and certain types of sushi are raw as well. I don't know if it was the best comparison, but you can still eat raw octopus that isn't moving--it's the same, technically. =/

  • mmmmmmm looks delicious!

  • damn i almost puked just looking at it

  • I am Korean American, and it's a shame that I haven't been to Korea. I should go visit Korea and get myself some REAL Korean Food.

    BOO YA!! I'm hungry now.

Remember, you have to CHEW the alive octopus first. Swallowing it alive is very dangerous.

  • 아~ 산낙지 너무 좋아♡ 저거 움직이는게 징그럽긴 하지만, 맛은 최고임 + ㅇ+!!

  • Wow, that was, something....

  • guys here how u eat it without choking and dying u chew it first real nice make sure its not squirming. if it sticks on to ur tounge or any part of mouth just pull it out and keep chewing. Once u kno its dead then swallow simple rite?

  • oh kill me ...

  • Hey guys, maori's eat rotten corn porridge and kinas and mountain oysters but none of them are still squirming!!!

  • How do you get it down through the esophagus, that thing will just attach its tentacle any where it could get a grip.

  • omg wow this is soo coool but only to watch i love octopussy

  • Amazing!!

  • i recommend eating the food before you die... its the nerves that moves and by the way its already dead

  • That looks pretty nasty...>_>

  • HOLY! YUM YUM YUM!!!!! MA FAVORITE!

  • holy shit

  • yum.

  • haha.

people are so jealous cus they cant be korean.

    (: sighhhh :D

  • OMG this truly made me want to vomit. I'm sorry, Americans eat nasty things too, but it's still moving! ew.

  • so wat u guys are saying is tat we eat beat up dogs and eat them right? then say tat the dogs had power over us, think how the dogs would eat us? and stfu its our culture and u guys do stupid stuffs too like it Mc fuking fatass.

  • i remember eating this when i was in Korea.. its not that bad...

  • My husband was invited to dinner by his boss in South Korea and found himself sitting in front of a plate of these. He's been scarred since. =)

  • If you really want to split hairs, anybody that has ever eaten a slice of pizza has let many hundreds of live yeast be burnt alive in an oven in order for you to eat... every thing is relative.

  • yall dont know a thing about korea,in fact were you less to say, that you were born there? uh no,didnt think so.

the only reason that some old cultures in korea ate dog,wus just for medical issues.

  • leave it up to asia to eat this shit

  • you people are so stupid, there is some parts of korea, that ate dogs a long time ago,i should know, because i am korean. And fairly you all are so wrong for what you say, what is the difference between american people at fast food places, people might have stuffed your own bought food down their pants or spat on it

  • Really the topic isn't that important to me but you are being very misleading. I live in a small town in S. Korea and yet I wouldn't even have to go out of town to find some dog soup.

  • all countries have their own food culture because of their differenr sources of nature. country with a lot of turkeys they eat them. korea use cows for farming so they eat dog for their need of protine.

some country with a lot of monkeys people eat monkey brain what about about that.

country with a lot of carmel they eat them.

  • some country with a lot of monkeys = Japs

  • Koreans are friken losers! they eat anythink they can find! they are going to eat everthing into exstinction, iv watched so many documentrys about it, and they are cruel to the livestock before they ki0ll them aswell!

  • Oh, yeah, delicious...what a fresh meal. That's why Italian restaurant serve fresh lobster while it's alive (with it's head moving)!!!

  • Infact some countries list octopus as a species that experiments may not be performed on WITHOUT anesthesia and are classified as protected under animal cruelty legislation.

  • fucking tasty

  • you don't sound very smart

  • If you've ever been to Korea, you'd learn right away that the dogs they eat are almost a whole different species away from the "pet" dog. Its almost the same as cows in America.

  • That doesn't mean its right to kill them the way they do. Besides, all dogs originated from wolves. They're the same species, just different breeds, and no dog is meant to be eaten!

  • so are you telling me that you believe in the theory of evolution?

because then you would agree that

all animals would have originated from one organism

which means that cows, pigs, chicken and dogs would have originated from one organism so if this is true then you shouldn't eat

    any animals/meats hey?

  • No, actually i have mixed opinions on evolution, some of it makes a lot of sense but some sounds like bullshit. All i was saying is that dogs originated from wolves somewhere down the line so theyre not that different. and no i dont really think cows and pigs and chickens came from one organism either. i think they have evolved over time but not from just one organism.

  • anyway my main point was its wrong to eat dogs, and its wrong to kill them the way they do, and thats it. same goes for cows, chickens and pigs. i dont really care if u disagree or not.

  • Don't think all korean likes live octopus many of them hate it like you do. i hated live octopus when i was little but after I grow up i became to like it better than cook one so i eat them. octopus has a lot of minerals and source of vitamins. Most american hated sashimi and sushi about 20 years ago but nowadays i easily fine thousands of sushi sashimi resturant in usa.

Don't you think it is fun to watch different people eat food different ways.

  • yeah i do kind of think its interesting to learn what different cultures eat, and i understand what u mean but i just hate it that some of the animals have to suffer through it, not that it changes anything tho sadly.

  • dat is the dumbest comment ever:'no dog is meant to be eaten' the issue is how they kill the dogs and not that they eat them

  • thats why i said "that doesn't mean its right to kill them the way they do." believe me im fully aware of how they kill them and i think its disgusting. i would feel better if they did it in a humane way but im still against eating them, especially for the reasons they do it.

  • i understand that the way some people slaughter dogs are cruel

however, these people are only small number of sick people

most people don't kill dogs like that only retards do

it's similar to the vets who put down dogs

  • yea it is wrong the way they kill dogs in korea. but do you know the animal cruelty that goes with consuming other animals as well?

can you prove that no dog is meant to be eaten?

  • Can i prove that no dog is meant to be eaten? well what kind of proof do you need? Ive done some reading and found out that the reasons they eat dog is because of its supposed health benefits, and ive read and heard from tons of sources that they have eat dog to survive because theyre so poor and etc etc.. but there is no scientific evidence of health benefits from eating dog, theres actually more benefits to not eating them.

  • dogs help people in many ways and have been for thousands of years. they rescue people, they guide the blind, they help battle depression, they can sniff out cancer, they save lives, and not to mention dogs share about 80% of our DNA. Also i read that Dog meat is the most expensive meat in Korea or China, but its the 4th most popular next to chicken beef and pork....

  • ....so i dont understand why (if theyre so poor) they would resort to eating dog if chicken and beef and pork was less expensive and even more popular..ya know?

Oh and yeah i definitley know what goes on at slaughter houses and what not with cows and pigs and chickens and stuff. makes me sick.

  • they don't eat dogs cuz they are poor..

korea isn't a poor country anymore.

do you think they don't know that dogs are important in our lives?

it sure sounds weird to most people here, but it's just the culture and tradition over there.

  • just respect their ways and let them do what they've been doing for years rather than talking shit about it.

if you wanna criticize anything, you can criticize the way SOME(not all) koreans kill their dogs for eating.

however, that's not the only place where animal cruelty results from, so that's a problem that we all need to work on.

  • I wasn't criticizing ALL Koreans. i WAS criticizing the way they kill them more than the fact that they eat them, it wouldn't bother me near as much if they killed them humanely, though it would still bother me but at least id know that the dogs weren't suffering.

  • woah... im sure your so proud of all the europeans/americans that eat rabbits and lambs. most korean people would say that eating rabbits is disgusting and cruel but they would still respect it for the culture. at least hardly any koreans hunt in forests unlike people in other countries where they cruelly kill wild animals using dogs and guns.

  • and the bit about slaughter houses? oh puhlease that is just a stupid myth. yeah course there are some people who treat animals cruelly but not just in korea. it only shows a very small minority of koreans now most would never dream of eating dog.

  • i guess ur not a korean.

    us koreans love eating rabbits.

    we love eating dog stew.

    we love eating ducks.

    we love eating pig's feet.

    so stfu and gtfo

  • i am korean. 님이 야말로 한국사람입니까?! i wasnt saying anything bad about korea or koreans so i dont see what your problem is.

  • First, there are no more animals in your forests because there are no forests left. Second, explain to the audience how you beat your dogs with baseball bats to get that yummy taste before you cut them up and eat them because you think your dicks don't function unless eat boshin-tung.

  • I don't mean to sound rude, but that is disgusting...... what is up with all the weird/gross things asian's eat ?

  • well excuse me but

    r u an American?

because what's with weird/gross greasy, fat filled, burgers and all them pieces of junk food

before adding a racist comment, think about how ur own country might be seen in a different view as well!

  • are you crazy!!! I can make whatever comment I want - and for record, I am NOT an American, and have plenty of Asian friends.... alot of them think it's gross too...If I wanted to be racist, I might use a word like chink or gook, but I'm not like that - so put your badge away PC Police!!

  • octupus tentacles r about as disgusting as a fuking burger so dont post comments like that

  • also, I have been to Korea a few times - it's quite unecessary the way asians think it's better to eat stuff alive, or almost alive is DISGUSTING

  • well I apologize about intending that you are an American

and I do agree that it is fairly disgusting to eat things alive

and I certainly didn't mention or think that it's better to eat it that way

as you have said that some Asian food are weird/gross? but if I went to ur country and see something new as specify it as being 'weird/gross' then you wouldn't like that would you?

different cultures have different food and you should try and understand about it

  • Actually, I have a very broad food education - I just don't believe that it's necessary to inflict pain on liveforms that are to be taken as food sources.

Perhaps you might try to understand that Octopus particularly have the same ability to feel pain as you or I. The chemicals that send pain messages are the same as in our brains, infact octopus are incredibly intelligent with the ability to learn independently rather than instinct-based learning.

  • you may think it's disgusting, but you are not thinking about anything else but what your mind tells you.

how can you prove that it is unnecessary to eat stuff alive?

persians12 is right. american fast food is just as disgusting. you don'tk now what they do with your food. or what goes on at their work stations. so stop trying to sound more stupid than you already have.

  • hmm, it's called scientific research that shows animals like that can feel pain you retard!

we're not talking about crap swept up off the factory floor and packed into a hotdog, we're talking about a lifeform with an awareness of self, ability to learn and feel pain.

I say if you're going to eat something, don't make it suffer - it's called compassion.

  • ok. you've changed your argument now. first you just said that asians eat disgusting stuff, but now you are saying that it's wrong to inflict pain on live animals. and i agree with you. the way some of these animals are treated before consumed by people isn't right. that doesn't just happen in asia though. it's everywhere, and we all need to work on that.

  • now, in terms of what they eat, you shouldn't just say their food is "disgusting". it's their culture and tradition. respect their way s of life.

  • How would you like to have your arms and legs cut off while you were still alive?

  • They kill it first even though its dead it still moves...some how

  • i know its so obvious its dead just moving. i mean you can see that it doesnt have a head or anything... -_-;;;

  • mmm... I can already taste the octopus just by looking at it!

  • my mouth is watering omg ooohhhhhhh thats good food oh yeah

  • this is so good!! haha

    i miss it...근대 초고추장 은 엎어?

  • i bet you it's freakin delicious.

  • im korean and this makes my stomach lurch

  • OMG.....

    IT LOOKS SO DELICIOUS!!!

Pass me the hot sauce and the gold chopsticks and i'll be in heaven.

    Its very delicious..

    And highly-expensive...

  • maaaaaaaan..i don't know about this one now

  • yum!

  • 아... 초고추장 없어???????

  • looks better than kfc

  • certainly fresher and healthier than KFC!

  • this is ghosting

  • That wouldnt look so bad if it wasnt squirming with some wontons and bread or something =p i would eat it maybe

  • OMG ㅡㅡ; 아 징그러

  • its not alive it moves because it relaeses chemicals

  • That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Tentacles can still move because they don't rely on the brain as we do (all any other animals for that matter).

Octopus' brain gives higher commands, but everything else is handled by the tentacles themselves. So when there's no brain, tentacles move freely.

  • i think its dangerous to eat squirming octopus.

  • wow... does that remind anybody else of Klingon cuisine?? :D

  • When I went to Korea, I saw something like that XD My parents like it but me and my sister didn't try it becuase it was MOVING!! o.o
