I hate to be gloomy... and pessimistic... as much as i strongly agree with all of this, if i were a betting man, i'm afraid i think that we are doomed to destruction and that enlightenment and revolution, tragically, will not occur in time. BECAUSE, in history, times of revolution, social change and enlightenment have sprouted from 1st person social interaction and grouping together to ACT. We can choose to ignore it, not to use it, or, if we choose, destroy it. Technology is simply CONVENIENT.

I am dependant on my car? No. If i wish, I can choose, I can ride my bike. My bike then? No. If i choose so, I can walk, or run.

My oven or microwave? No way, I can build a fire- or live on raw food. The convenience of technology frees us from meniality and toil.

Monetary economics will work till it reaches an equilibrium with advanced technology.  Future technology will begin to have solutions (jobs) to human problems with the human factor taken out. That is the point of technology now....how can we do this or that job without people? is the question.

In the movie he does not attack a belief in God. He does attack the dogmatized beliefs, etc. God is not something that can be bottled canned and sweetened... I think if you look closely enough you will see the movie advocates a very spiritual belief. Again... he attacks established organised religion that sepearates people by telling them there religion is the ONLY true belief in God. This is built in as a trigger for social mobilization towards accepting and supporting war.
