Anthony Bourdain was at home!!..I didn't know it!, and I'm more than happy to see this video here,Thank you very much kumquatsta to upload this video, I will share it on my facebook. I love and I miss so much my beatiful country, and the food!!!!!!
Getting ready in a few weeks my wife an myself we'll be there. Woohoo! counting the days. Time to re-enjoy those asados, those wines, pasta and the Uruguayan people. Uruguay, the kept secret of the travel world...
I can't believe they didn't find any information. When you open the phonebook, just in Salto there are about 15 families with Bourdin last name! Probably a variation of the Bourdain last name!
This episode was really fascinating to watch. To think Tony and his brother may not be entirely French descended and who knows, he might even have family there and never got to meet them. Maybe very distant cousins.
Reminds me of my family's own cloudy past, in particular my mother's side. She said her grandfather wasn't raised in El Salvador and wasn't even Latino to begin with. He even spoke a different language at few times. Maybe I'll find out one day as with the Bourdains.
@OSORIOO If you live in Colombia and your nickname is Osorio, why do you talk to me in English? I don't get it! About your question, no, I do not live in Uruguay, I am living in USA.
Uruguay).
I was born in Montevideo and have been several times! Fantastic country! So much to offer! Hope everyone could visit, at least once, in their lifetime.
at 05:20 that is "La rambla" its number one people favourite place to be in the afternoon. Its really has a extraordinary view to the Rio de la Plata ( Atlantic Ocean) people go there to chill out or have a traditional "Mate" Its just one of the most beautiful places in Montevideo and South America. If you are in Montevideo and want to go there, just go in south direction and you'll find it. Grettings from Uruguay !
Maaan I wish I could go there... I'm originally from Uruguay but have lived in Norway for most of my life (moved when I was 3) and so my spanish has completely faded out, which is why I'm relatively scared of meeting relatives and people there. I really want to visit Uruguay but I want to work on my Spanish first.
Thanks for uploading this, spent 2 months in Uruguay last summer, I absolutely LOVE it, ate at the same bbq place in this episode, its like dying and going to heaven.. ;)
i fucking love meat, steak, sausage, chicken, bacon, pork, steak, steak, and steak, bloody steak, medium steak, fuck well done, steak on a stick, stick on a plate, steak kabob, chicken kabob, steak with rice, pork with rice, steak, STEAK.
thank you for the upload my friend. I am Uruguayan and i'm very happy to see that Mr. Bourdain had a good time here. I invite all of you to come and visit us, there's a lot to discover and options available for any kind of interests. Wheter tey are spending time in a fancy hotel, having a fantastic time with friends along the coast and visiting breath taking sites. Do not hesitate to contact me for any recommendations.
Sometimes it reaches its hole and you'll have to use a finger to make it let go otherwise you'll end up with its tail in your hand... But yes, when it folds its hands together in praying, it's hard to kill la mulita :)
