If your puppy bites the leash, don't tug or "play" back. Give the puppy something else (like a toy) to hold instead of the leash. If you consistently ignore any attempt to play with the leash by letting it go slack and ignoring the behavior, your puppy will move on to something else. You might want to use inexpensive leashes until the puppy disconnects though! -Heidi
A leash is a safety device. There is no magic to walking a dog on a leash. The difficult part is acclimating your new puppy to the feel of a leash and getting your dog to move forward with you. If you need more help motivating your dog beyond this intro, join a group class in your area and have fun learning together. By the way, you will have a much better behaved dog and more control down the road if your dog learns to enjoy working with you instead of just being tied to you by a leash. -Heidi
@fabrezee13 i have exacly the same problem with my oscar, he is fine running around with his leash on, but if i try to walk with him he just sits down and will nopt move, also, i have had him for 5 hours now, he is 12 weeks, but has not barked, is there something wrong with him?
When your pup bites the least give it a slight tug and tell him, his name and "leave it" in a stern voice, any time the pup lets go of the leash praise him, tell him; his name and "good leave it" in a "happy voice, he's just done a good thing. Start putting pressure on the lead again to get him to walk, you may tell him his name and "lets go" Once again praise him when he takes a step or two. Repeat a few hundred time over the next few weeks and you've got it :>)
this sounds terrible but drag it until it walks, they learn after about 2-3 10 minute sessions that they have to walk. You may also want to try and use a slip-lead leash and have it placed high up on your dogs neck just below the skull, never across the windpipe/throat. this will give you maximum contol over the dog. Ive gotten 3 puppies to walk properly using this method. goodluck, and you need to do something now before there too big!
dont matter anyway, how hard is it to put a collar on a puppy, its different with an adult dog but a pup gets used to it really quickly once its ready for the lead you put it on and walk, simple. she didn't even need a video she could have just typed it up
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to be saved

Andddddd there is absolutely no example. She should put the collar on herself and show how to walk a dumb woman on a leash.

And there is absolutely no illustration....maybe she should put the collar on herself to demonstrate. Retard.

This in no way teaches how to teach a puppy to walk on leash, it teaches how to get them use to the leash.
