  • Je crois, en toute objectivité, que l'on peut considérer JL Pierce comme l'un des plus grands chanteurs américains de tous les temps. Voilà en tout cas un homme qui se confond avec sa musique.

  • The Journeys Long Volume 2 will be release sometime in March 2012 featuring 18 tracks by such artist Nick Cave, Debbie Harry, Steve Wynn, The Jim Jones Revue, Isobel Campbell etc. This is not a tribute album of Jeffrey Lee Pierce'S songS but merely the artist own interpret some songs had to be finished most are brand new material. Jeffrey started as president of the Blondie fan club. Blondie supporter Jeffrey from the beginning of his career. Blondie paid tribute with the song Under The Gun.

  • One of the best bands ever - saw them at Newcastle DIngwalls in 1982/3? This album is one of their best. It's great reading all the comments here and knowing others feel the same way about the band.

    It´s a life time addiction.

I doscovered them 20 years ago. Still listen to them now and then.

  • This song is a classic.

  • Jeffrey Lee Pierce was so underrated... This is a brilliant piece of music and lyrics.

  • For a weird reason this reminds me of the pueblo plains of Texas, hot, isolated and sparse land; I am reading a book about the Spanish Empire at the moment.

  • @Johnnystrychnine Yep,this album always made me think of driving through the southwest alone.Fire Of Love seemed like antebellum Louisiana.

  • I listen to this song when I'm down....or just sick of what I hear on the radio :)

  • Μαγκες ειναι πρεζα.

thedigitalcollective There 'aint nothing 'fun' about this song!

Sadness grows like weeds upon their thighs and knees.

noburningbushes This 'aint Morrison and was never meant to be. Some people grow up...some don't.

  • That was GREAT music

  • His tone is almost identical to Morrison's in this, nice rendition.

    Fuckin' blues.

  • @noburningbushes thats what i was thinking!

  • slide guitar in this is fun.

  • 1982 again!

  • discovered this band and song through randomness - and I like it. Thanks for the upload.

  • This song has not aged a bit. Great!

  • I feel a spiritual kinship with Brian Jones and Jeffrey Lee Pierce

  • A perfect end to a near perfect second side of an LP.

  • One of the most under rated band of all time, I'm speechless to tell how it's good to hear this...

  • 1 of the best albums in history of R'n'R.

  • They were the best thing to have come out in the 80's, so too was Kid Congo.

  • One of my 80s favorites. Super great album!!

  • o lord, don't I remember this. blessings.

  • Vecchi ma belli

  • Vecchi ma belli

  • i listened this song a few years ago from MADRUGADA!!!!! great.....

  • I was born in 75. I'm from LA. I had no idea this band existed until, thanks to u -tube, I wanted to learn more about this Mexican-looking guitar player in Wings of Desire's scene w/ nick cave. And so I learned of Brian Tristan, aka, Kid Congo Powers, founding member of The Gun Club.

And that led me to this song, of whose beauty I dare not attempt to write of, because it is too great, too grand, too haunting and too true to touch.

    Thank you for posting. Truly.

  • born 65, check out the whole back catalog. there so under rated.

  • fucking drama queen.

  • @zeuqsavluar Lead singer Jeffrey Lee Pierce was also Half Mexican. Kid Congo was not the founding member, It was Jeffreys band. I highly reccomend you buy everything that they put out. They are a real underground American treasure.

  • @thadbrains

Not much the Lynyrd Skynyrd type...

  • This album was produced by 'Blondie' founder-guitarist, Chris Stein. One of my favorites from The Gun Club.

  • Awesome.

  • mick harvey also does a great cover of this..

  • killer track one of my alltime favourites

  • sometimes this is all i want and need to hear

  • Great Pathos.....!!

  • My favourite song of 'Miami'.

  • Yes! One of my favorite albums of all time, any genre.
