Great review, but what's with the mispronunciation of the leading bad girls? Are there different editions with different names?... Lumina? (Lumiya) and Amara???? (Alema Rar). Still, you've got good points about the book (really enjoyed it too).

hay! i just got so interested in star wars, and i've downloaded all the PDF books collection of it. Theres like 100s of them, so..which book should i start off with? its so confusing!

i started off with Heir To The Empire written by Timothy Zahn and worked my way through. The Zahn Trilogy is really good and thats where i recommend people to start off if they're starting to read the expanded universe

according to george lucas, the expanded universe (not technically being made by george lucas, he can ignore them at any given time) they cant decide the fate of major characters. they are approved, but he could make a series 20 years after ROTJ and totally ignore the vong war. plus, if i remember, in Cade Skywalker's comics, didnt luke die of old age at like 100 or something?

The Thrawn trilogy was a remarkable trilogy and New Jedi Order + Legacy of the Force are right but there are not all excellent.

Sacrifice was pretty good though.

In the final novel what do you predict? I believe that Luke will have to sacrifice himself and then Jedi/Confederation/Mandalorian­s will begin the war against the GA.

Eventually, the Korriban Sith will oppose the Jacen Sith empire.

Hard to predict what might happen. I can't see the writers or Lucas letting Luke die when he is one of his main characters. That i what people who read the books look for. Tho i'm wondering if Taheri will come into play with Jacen or Anakin's force ghost will show up with Mara.

You probably know that in the LOTF comic books there is a force ghost of Luke and "to me" it was implied somehow that Luke died just before the ascension of Lumiya Sith Empire.

Yes, in the last novel we should have some light about Tahiri because its Troy Denning who's writting it and he will bring her back as a major element.

There's also White Eyes who's very mysterious to me.

Qui-Gon actually learned how to come back from the nether relm of the force, that's why. Yoda was goning to have Obi-wan train in order to talk with him so he could become one with the force as well.
