when i was new to this state, "Get Some" was the only Gun store I knew...I really don't like their customer service.A few employees are polite, but most were very rude. I wish I would have given my business to Impact or Compact.
I am blown away at this industry- at how many places I've visited across many states where customer service or more specifically charm/charisma is drastically lacking. Am I wrong, but I feel more comfortable with handguns for any kind of home or personal protection. I don't own too many rifles, I own a .30-30 and a .270 that I manily hunt with. I always felt handguns fullfilled my philosophy of use which is close quarters protection and handguns to me fit that bill better, and they won't overpenetrate as much as a rifle would. I dont mean any disrespect by the way.

@tahmirj there are different class guns and some of them need a license while others don;t, and concealed weapons need a clean criminal record and probably a license for one of the higher classes and maybe one or two other requirements but it is nice to have it in case of emergency situations if you are the kind fo guy to use it properly and not misuse it for bad things.
@ICETEEBAG not in this state, 40 states its a shall issue conceal carry, which mean you get your ccw permit without the sheriff approval. Arizona, Vermont and Alaska dont even need a permit, you can buy your handgun and conceal it.
there are very few states that let us have are guns the way we want them i'm movin back to texas in a few years after school it's one of the few states that lets you protect yourself with concealed carry and im not letting any one take that away

thats funny you went to get some, i go there all the time they have a very nice indoor range in the back and you can rent machine guns there i rented the m60 one time for 75$ for like 30 shots it was probobly worth it very fun. they also have some rental deals for like 30$ you get unlimited gun rental of all there rental rifles and pistols(semi-auto) and shot guns the only problem is that make you use their ammo that is very very over priced. and that 30$ is for while your there
i dont like the m14s with the pistol grip and modded enhanced. I prefer the rifle stock for me its easier to hold more steady and its just more comfortable

@moneymikey The ban on Norinco weapons generally referred to the immitation AKM's, ie the Norinco type 69 (correct me if I'm wrong) and they're immitation SKS semi-automatic rifles. Norinco makes a lot of other weapons, including 1911s.

I don't think he's planning on doing anything about CC now. He was talking about making the assault weapons ban permanent, but from what I've read he's not going to now.

Uh, guns aren't illegal here. There are many more restrictions here, licenses are required as well as registration (which the government is thinking of getting rid of) and concealed carry is a no go, but they aren't banned.
It has nothing to do with being subordinate to the Queen either (she has very little influence on our politics). I hate it when Americans say that, it's true in a sense, but her position is very exaggerated.

I would like to checkout the Burris speeddot looks like it may be a pretty good affordable aiming device, and I heard that either Burris or Bushnell ( I can't remember which ) purchased Zeiss and was now using their glass for lenses.
At Impact guns they say that the SCAR is for now a "military contractors only" gun. But it should be a semi version only because that gun has very interesting features that would make it an interesting buy.
I'm a gamer, and I know that "DEagles" suck in reality.
they just dont suck in video games =)..
but In real life...too heavy, round is impractically powerful (too much recoil), and overall its only real application is for intimidation purposes during an interrogation, as they do look quite menacing...though that is a subjective issue.
Still, I prefer my Springfield XD.45.

I work at a gun/pawn shop in ozark mo and id say gun shops like this just dont exist in this area. it sucks as there are a plethora of shops but none really carry a whole lot of quality gear. most is just cheap bsa ncstar crapolla and people around here mostly by that crap over the real deal stuff. kinda sucks as im a serious shooter and not some gunshop commando. thanks for the vids very informal

He said he supports CC, only mentioned cops though. He has said that the current US gun laws are reasonable. I don't think he'll intall a permanent federal AWB. Even if he did it'd fail I'm sure.

Sitting in the UK and we can only drool at the liberty you guys have with guns. It sucks that we cant own weapons. Its just wrong!!!!!!!!!!! Criminals rule the street and we cant protect or defend ourselves.

yea UK should fight and protest about their rights taken away, owning a firearm should be a privalege that any law abiding citizen should have a right too... makes no sense why they took it away. and now (i might be wrong) but i heard crime whent up in the UK.
Oh, one more thing.
EVERY HUMAN SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT HIM-SELF OR HIS FAMILY BY ANY MEANS NESSESARY.

From my understanding the reason they do not own firearms is that they are subjects to the queen and even though they have a parlament system they do not have the right for armed rebellion like the states do. Really the only reason america isn't a british colony now is that they used armed rebellion which didn't sit well will the queenie types over there.
Interesting stuff though. Poor british people without guns :(

Uh, guns aren't illegal here. There are many more restrictions here, licenses are required as well as registration (which the government is thinking of getting rid of) and concealed carry is a no go, but they aren't banned.
It has nothing to do with being subordinate to the Queen either (she has very little influence on our politics). I hate it when Americans say that, it's true in a sense, but her position is very exaggerated.

oh, you mentioned 'queen' and i automatically thought UK... Canada is amazing. I spend a lot of time in British Colombia, and i've done some backpacking in the Yukon Wilderness.

You dont have to ask, but do I have this right. No, you have it. Just another way for governing bodies to steel freedom and liberty. I was so amazed the other day. Flying home from Newcastle airport in the uk. Displayed was a sign saying the aviation authority has now decided to give us some passenger rights. What utter rubbish.

@ZS6JMP We can't protect or defend ourselves, but we CAN own firearms. You should look up the laws and (if interested) join a local rifle club. There's alot more we're allowed than most people realise..

@cabbage0dusk Whats the point of owning firearms if you are not allowed to bring them to bear when your life is gravely threatened by another armed person. We love to get told what we can and cant. Who pays the tax?? Should we not have a say in our own security or do we want the government to do that for us as well. Would it not be great to conceal carry weapons like pistols and have a sheepdog concept in our society. Criminals would think twice if people were armed.

For sport? And also, if there is an intruder in your house you may get away with self defence if you shoot them, your just not allowed to put that down as the actual intended reason for owning it.
Firearms are a hobby, not just a means to defend yourself. I never said we shouldn't have a say in our security, i was just stating we are still allowed firearms...

P90 sucks, Civi versions are impractical and there's no way to go "shooting" with it considering the cost of its ammo.

I would like to checkout the Burris speeddot looks like it may be a pretty good affordable aiming device, and I heard that either Burris or Bushnell ( I can't remember which ) purchased Zeiss and was now using their glass for lenses.

At Impact guns they say that the SCAR is for now a "military contractors only" gun. But it should be a semi version only because that gun has very interesting features that would make it an interesting buy.

The gun itself works, there are other guns that tried to do what it does and failed (I.E. the Widley AUTOMAGS and the Coonan 1911s)
But the desert eagle is impractical, heavy, expensive and generally just a flashy paperweight. In that I agree

I'm a gamer, and I know that "DEagles" suck in reality.
they just dont suck in video games =)..
but In real life...too heavy, round is impractically powerful (too much recoil), and overall its only real application is for intimidation purposes during an interrogation, as they do look quite menacing...though that is a subjective issue.
Still, I prefer my Springfield XD.45.
Not all gamers are idiots, who think they know everything about guns but have never managed to fired one...

I work at a gun/pawn shop in ozark mo and id say gun shops like this just dont exist in this area. it sucks as there are a plethora of shops but none really carry a whole lot of quality gear. most is just cheap bsa ncstar crapolla and people around here mostly by that crap over the real deal stuff. kinda sucks as im a serious shooter and not some gunshop commando. thanks for the vids very informal
