  • I agree with aikifan77 -- it's all pretty good aikido. Most of it is very good! My only constructive criticism would be that in some of the takes, the attacker is allowed to just kinda stand there for a little too long (0:41, 0:53, 1:07). You have to keep uke moving or the energy stagnates. It is a tough job to balance safety with realism in demonstrations, and most of the time the techniques are quick and clean, as they should be.All in all real nice! Thanks for sharing.

  • need to practice "finishing/controlling". you fight like you train....

  • it's all pretty good. About it looking more like hapkido, well of course it does, hapkido is just korean aikido with fancy kicks thrown in. It's definitely aikido. As for it not looking very smooth, well aikido used in combat or self defence wont look smooth and pretty, neither does any martial art. I liked it and have very few complaints about it.

  • Y'know, I think thats exactly what Mike would say. LOL

  • call it as I see it mate lol

Where does this club hail from?

    I'm in Norwich England

  • Very cool, I have great memories of England. This was actually filmed in Oakland, CA. but I'm in So. Cal now.

  • this is looking more like hapkido to me and the techniques don't look very fluid but that just may be me being me

  • i like the video but your right, thought the same about the throws, not very fluid but anyway...

  • nice

  • Cool I've done those too

  • this is what i call good self defence

  • very good application of aikido. was getting frustrated only seeing bad aikido videos on here but this is very good.
