After their match Animal came back out to watch some of his buddies wrestle. He sat there and talked to us for about 15 minutes it was so cool. Although at 12 I was taller XD

while we were (my father n i) were waitin for the elevator to go to our seats i saw this big dude with a LOD jacket on, i was liked "dude thats my favorite all time tag team" he turned towards me "oh really, hi im the animal" i think my mouth bounced off the floor 5 times lol

I know man. They were doing it because they loved it. Every single time these guys walked the aisle you knew you were going to get 100%. From mid cards to main events, there was no half assing it back then. Nowadays, the boys with genuine respect for this business and for those that paid their dues to make wrestling what it is are few and far between.
Every reputable wrestling publication has ranked The Legion of Doom, The Road Warriors as the greatest tag team of all time. They dominated EVERYWHERE, and i mean everywhere they went: NWA, AWA, WWF, Japan. Extremely intimidating and completely relentless. And they could wrestle. There is no discussion. They would have killed the Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian together. Not even the Outsiders could have kept up with them. These guys were truly rough customers in the ring.
100% Correct. You can have a respectable conversation comparing them to the Steiner Brothers, or Terry Gordy and Dr. Death. These teams were all great. The Hardy Boyz, Edge or Christian are good teams in a pathetic era of tag team wrestling. They never would have made it past mid-card if they were around with the L.O.D. Midnight Express, Horseman etc. Big League vs. Minor League. No comparison.
They were at their greatest from '84 to '87, but there is no question they were the strongest dudes in wrestling. You take two massive musclebound powerhouses who are aggressive and like to beat people up........there's no way to stop 'em. They were supposed to be heels, but had millions of fans because everyone respected their brute strength and liked watching 'em beat the crap outta weaker opponents. Hawk was the scariest dude on the planet....even in interviews he make everyone fear him.

I remember once in the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center(James Brown Arena) in Augusta,GA on Halloween they had little kids crying when they came to the ring. Awesome.
@NAYellowjackets I saw them there, too. It was August 1983 and they took on Brett Wayne (Sawyer) and David Sammartino. The match broke down and Ron Garvin and Pistol Pez Watley did a run-in with chairs. They were at every card except one in December. No one had ever seen a team like them before.
