Awesome costume ^.^ I plan on being a pirate for Halloween too and I'm gonna be wearing skinny jeans, black knee high converse, a black mesh long sleeve shirt with a pirate shirt overtop (white and red), my black underbust corset, bandanna in hair, chains on pants and maybe a red glow bracelet in my ear if I'm going to a rave (my ears are gauged lol) its fun seeing different versions of pirate costumes for inspiration

I made the hat for my little niece out of felt material (some school project) I just looped some garden wire around the rim of the hat to help shape it, she added her own ribbon and cute emo skulls, looks great! She is thrilled with it, thanks so much for this tutorial! Really helped x

i was having so much fun until i noticed you didn't mention how much hem you'd allowed for (which meant my 2.5" strip was too long after sewing it to the circle) and then you didn't mention to have the wrong side of the big circle facing up when sewing the small circle to the big circle so the right side is rolled up at the end!

enjoying it though, really appreciated the idea, loved the music and you should make a dvd so i can watch it if i'm feeling blue :)
