Pretty easy isn't it guys? I tell ya, English has one of the easiest grammars. I think the most difficult thing from Spanish to English is the use of prepositions is very different, as well as when to use the definite article. Pronunciation is also an issue.

They wrote the contracted version of "I have," to be "I've." Though they can't be used interchangeably, like the others.
You can say:
I have a ball.
But it sounds very funny to hear:
I've a ball.
If you use I've you must use got with it (in most situations).
I've got a ball.
Though using got is considered slang, and is not appropriate in formal conversaion. In casual conversation it's used a lot. XD

In British English, "I've" to denote posession is used reasonably frequently.
In London, I hear sentences like "I've a new car" a lot.
