  • great start to a bond film... Timothy Dalton is very under-rated...

  • moore was the best. dlaton. connery. craig. brosnan. lazenby. brosnan was fake crap even his name..pierce brosnan...what a craphead he was

  • It starts off a little hoaky, but suprisingly, the intro ended up exceeding my expectations. It's not taking itself too seriously, which is refreshing. I was entertained! Not bad.

  • 13 commies disliked this!

  • License To Kill holds up well to repeat viewings. The villain is one of the best in the entire series, and I love the films black humour as well as Mexican flavour. As for Timothy Dalton, I think he gave a brilliant performance as bond. He took the right approach by not copying the styles of his predecessors. There are 6 Connery films and 7 Moore films to see and there is no need for me to see another actor do that style again. By Dalton's unique approach, he stands as a bond in his own class.

  • Gladys Night hit it on the head with this Intro

  • "Let`s go fishing! " :D

  • Black DEA, LOL

  • "What does he promised you? His heart? Give her his heart."

    - lol, great line!

  • @LucioRcia no he wasnt

  • @LucioRcia Why do you think he was the worst? explain please

  • most realistic bond movie

  • Licence To Kill is one of my favorite Bond films. Dalton was stunning agent 007 and Carey Lowel & Talisa Soto were amazing Bond girls. The main villain was no less impressive plus very young Del Toro and superb soundtrack songs from gorgeous Gladys Knight & Pattie LaBelle. What's not to like?

  • Dios bendiga a James Bond y que descanse en paz Ian Fleming

007 es de las mejores películas que hay ojalá que la MGM salga bien de su problema financiero.

  • Great film, I'm not much of a Bond fan, but this is a great film

  • I'm a huge Bond fan but I've never liked LTK and the trailer is indicative of my reasons. The production looks cheap, like a TV movie, and the dialogue is flat(except where Sanchez is concerned). Bond looks ridiculous standing on the plane and the parachuting into the wedding is ludicrous. And couldn't they find a better choice for Leiter's bride than that chick from 'Three's Company???'

  • Did you like dalton be honest when you answer this question!

  • @58fenix I thought Dalton was great in TLD but in LTK, something is off that I can't quite put my finger on. It may be that the cheap look of the overall production also makes Dalton look cheap. Also, Dalton's Bond often looks afraid, like in the bar fight (a terrible scene anyway) and later in Sanchez's coke facility. And they should have given Dalton a good 'mano y mano' fight scene with Dario.

  • Will great answer by the way.Dalton was'nt great to me at all.But in LTK

there is something in that, that made

him boring but at the sametime if

brsonan was bond he would have

    pulled it off.

  • It's about the performance.Like TND,

Brosnan was great, but the film was'nt

great but okay at the sametime.Thats

how you know your good.Dalton did

do a great job in action though!

  • Oh yeah and also who's you favorite bond

    and why?

  • @58fenix I never thought anyone could top Connery but now, my favorite is Craig. He's tough and he's a great actor that approaches the role seriously. Here's my list:

    1. Craig

    2. Connery

    3. Brosnan

    4. Lazenby

    5. Dalton

    6. Moore

  • WOW Roger moore is last. Will, well

said.I think everyones has there own

    style in what they like.

  • @jksonny What? Moore was good!

  • fucking badass

  • my favorite bond film because it was different. bond wasn't going after some mad man trying to take over the world but he quit being an agent to go after someone for personal reasons, this set it aprat from the rest of the series and in my opinion made it better.

  • As far as the bad guys go in Bond films Sanchez seemed to have the most malice, cold killer, and the drug dealer angle gives the story some relevence to the real life problem of drug lords

  • Probably the most underrated Bond film!

  • Dalton is the true bond!

  • No true bond does two movies and

    then Quits!

  • Not really...Goldeneye went through years of "production hell" and by the time they could get it off the ground Dalton's contract was up. He served the years he signed on to do, so I can't really blame him for just doing two films. But you got the admit License To Kill is an amazing Bond film.

  • First of all you dony sign on to do

2.You sign on to do 3,not 2.They were

looking for a great story and something

that was terrific.Dalton decided to quit.

  • It's not letting me post the rest so I'll

    message you!

  • Dalton was way ahead of the curve...best 007

LMFAO at the Craig fans....Dalton did 007 by Fleming's novels and looked the part as James Bond

  • this one just screams epic from the gunbarrel to the music. i cant understand why this one didnt do well int he cinema maybe it was the 15rating

  • Fucking amazing film. It had to have come down to this. Allows substance over style, for once. Rips Bond's heart out and sends him over the edge - Dalton was exhilirating and magnificent in this film - a true maverick. It was a stroke of genius to bring Q in halfway through when things became especially bleak.

  • Let`s go fishing! :))

  • Dalton was the best Bond. He lookes the most like the Bond as described in Flemming's books. The character is also like the book Bond.

  • @GrappendeGrapjas

It's a shame that he didnt do more, I think if he had lasted longer he would have been more highly regarded

  • @thattaityguy Your right!

  • @GrappendeGrapjas You are totally correct on this ! Dalton was indeed the best Bond every ! This new guy, Daniel Craig is not too bad but Dalton was the best.

  • @GrappendeGrapjas Moore was the best ...but Dalton definitely would be my second, i thought he was the best bond compared to Brosnon and that guy they got now, they SUCK.

  • Best bond song

  • A View to a Kill is the best 007 song

  • This was the favorite of all Bonds of mine till Casino Royale Came out. The darker the Bond, the better or shall I say the best?

  • LTK was good imo, Sanchez is a great villain

  • yeah you....you...ya damn...negative...fuck.

  • The actor of Sanchez was great!

  • That's Robert Davi.

  • Dalton was great...much better than Pierce.

  • He wasn't right for the character, as described in the book. He made an effort but didn't meet the standards.

  • I don't think Pierce Brosnon was better. Daniel Craig is good though.

  • lousy aspect-ratio: Just post it right, or not at all; Cinema rectified for TV-screen is a visual insult: You can't do that with a quality-movie.

  • This is the last true James Bond film made, and this was 1989.

  • Excellent Bond movie, excellent performance by Dalton, he was superb, still Connery's at the top, but dont forget little dalton hehe.

I think he just needed a bit more agression in the action sequences, that could have made him equal with connery, and as for craig.....erm cough cough....

  • Fantastic!

  • Great Bond film!!!

  • James Bonds songs are best when they are heard with some of Hollywood's best intro cinematic masterpieces.

  • This is one of the slickest of the Bond films. Everything was done so well. Nice plot, nice villain, the Spanish Bond girl is gorgeous, Dalton is one of the best Bond's and a great title tune. Superb stuff.

  • i liked this movie

  • 3 movie's it thepends on Craig how much he will make..! So each Bond Actor did a Number of 007 Movie's

  • If you look good at the number of bond actor who made a number of jamebond films

    Lazenby 1 Movie

    Dalton 2 Movie's

    Craig 3 or 5 Movie's

    Brosnan 4 Movie's

    ? 3 or 5 Movie's

    Connery 6 Movie's

    Moore 7 Movie's

  • like the other person said, UA/Sony went through a lawsuit...when 1994 rolled around, Dalton accepted the role for GoldenEye...and then withdrew

very disappointing because GoldenEye was the last best 007 film and Dalton would have soldified his legacy if he had done it

    Craig and Brosnan SUCK

  • Because after this movie, a stupid lawsuit lasted ages. Timothy was going to be in Golden eye, set for 1991. But after that lawsuit, in 1994 Timothy felt too much time had passed. It's a shame, really, in the 90's he didn't look a day older than he did in LTK.

  • wrong.. he was supposed to star in a DIFFERENT Bond movie in 1991... then in 94 he withdrew from Goldeneye.

  • property of a lady?

  • possibly.. that was the rumor. either way we were screwed out of another dalton bond

  • 20 minutes till sanchez is in the cuban airplace....

-he hasn t gone away yet

    What do you do?

    -fishing

  • It's sad this movie was the last appearance of the character Felix Leiter. I heard he was going to reappear in Goldeneye but replaced him with Jack Wade because the handicap Felix got in LTK was too difficult to pull off.

  • my favorite Bond-Film. Such a pity, that Dalton only made 2 Films.

  • Thimothy is the best bond

  • This is my favorite Bond movie out of all of them and I think Timothy Dalton was the best Bond

  • oh god I'm such a douchebag; I think I go too far sometimes.

  • Is it true that James Bond opening songs are like watching a striper show while high on acid?

  • I can imagine how very possible that might be.

  • 4:03 Felix becomes Max Payne!

  • haha so true.

  • after this movie it took 6 years for the next bond movie which at the time was the longest a bond movie to come out

  • Film Critic Roger Ebert gave Licence To Kill a glowing review (3 and a half stars out of four). He said how this film was more contemporary and that it had a monsterous villian.

  • is it true that dalton was supposed to star in goldeneye?

  • is this the only scene which shows dario with a gun?

  • No, Dario holds a gun on Bond in the scene near the end at the drug chemical factory/compound.

  • Dalton was a very good choice as Bond but this is a poor Bond film...it finished off Dalton as 007 and almost killed the whole Bond franchise...watching LTK is like watching a Miami Vice episode

  • You must be that guy from IMDB who also said the same thing, but I disagree.

  • happy valentines

  • best bond ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • Timothy Dalton was known as the best Bond since he had the characteristics of what Ian Fleming was looking for in his books of James Bond, Out for revenge ! this movie was just amazing and the theme music is perfect.

  • Spank Fetish anyone? LoL

  • late 80's were awesome

  • I wonder if anyone noticed, but the guy with the switchblade is played by Benicio del Toro.

  • yeah, the characters name is dario

  • I can't hear the dialogue.

  • scarface12983...

    You're the main maaan!

This is one of the best Bond films ever done. And a brilliant Debut for DelToro..

    Daniel Craig......'Nahhh, He 'ain Bond!!

A good action hero, but defo' not Bond.

  • but you specifically searched for it? idiot.

  • This is my favorite Bond movie. Dalton is fun, sexy, and funny as Bond : )

  • "Let's go fishing!"

  • I didnt care for this Bond film so much. I think the timing was off and it coud have been better written, seemed a bit rushed. However, I always thought Timothy Dalton was a one of the best Bonds. A bought a realism to the role that had been missing. It's a shame audinces never gave him a chance cause they thought he had stolen Brosnan's spot when in reality Dalton had been sought for years and considered to take over for Connery at age 22 if I am not mistaken, but he turned it down.

  • yh i would agree wit dat

  • Best Bond movie ever... Best Bond actor ever... Licence To Kill rules.

  • It's my personal favourite.

  • my favourite bond film :)

  • @ 5:56 , wing scrape

  • this was more realistic

  • Timothy Dalton is the Bond from the books and Sean and Bronsan are the movie Bonds includeing Roger but you must admit Daniel Craig fused them both, the movie Bond and the book BOND!

  • Nah, Daniel Craig was further away from the movie bond than even the literary bond. He is a new version of Bond, one fo rthe 21st century and is a style I hope will stay even after craig leaves.

  • ok myth busters time

  • Timothy Dalton was and still is the best 007. It`s a big shame that MGM/UA rejected him for Brosnan!!!!!!

  • ..and you managed to write all of that in only one sentence. congratulations!

  • No he rejected himself!

  • Dalton also had the best gun barrels

  • can u get the soundtrack of this film?

  • Bellissimo film.

  • whats is song?

  • My favourite Bond movie.

  • I think Sanchez felt strangely bonded to Bond. Like they were cut from the same cloth.

  • The best villains always are. Look at Scaramanga.

  • Very good film indeed. The violence is little too much though. You can only have so much time of it in a film.

  • One of my favorite Bond movies

  • 4:16 MAC-10

  • I have Dalton as my 2nd best Bond next to Connery. Hard for anyone to beat Connery but, Dalton help bring the action back to Bond back after one too many films by Moore. I agree, was a shame he didn't do more films. To answer ReupublicCommando's question why didn't Dalton do another, was mostly such a long delay between films and age was catching up. This movie has my favorite gun barrel because it sounds very sinister which match the theme of the movie...Bond seeking revenge.

  • Yes, he was the 2nd James Bond of all.

  • sancez was a bad ass

  • And bond actor

  • this is a classic bond film. one of my favourites

  • In my opinion Dalton was just as good as Connery, the same applies to Craig, and Brosnan. Connery did well in the first four then went downhill after.

  • haha....their parachutes drape on the floor more than Della's wedding dress.

  • Another truely inspirational film, if they did a reamke of this one they would have to have Gemma Arterton starring in it !

  • In my own opinion this is the best bond film

  • "Let's go fishing." Dalton ruled as Bond, so underrated. He should have done more than 2, but hey, at least the 2 films he did do are pure awesome.

  • He was actually going to do goldeneye dont know why he did'nt

  • His contract expired during the 6year 'Hiatus' between LTK and Goldeneye

  • He's better than pretty boy Brosnan. I liked his two movies more anyways.

  • hey don't knock Goldeneye

  • the guy who slept with sanchez's girl must have been insane ..."

  • "if you want the ultimate you have to be prepared to pay the ultimate price"....she was hot!

  • say that someone tries to make a move on you, in a blink of an eye il be there too, and they'l know why am guna make em pay, til there dying day til there dying day til there dying daayyyyyyyyyy- SHARP

  • the best gun barrel sequence the best song and the best bond ever

  • I think Dalton should have stayed on for one more. Although Brosnan was perfectly suited to Goldeneye.

  • This film was w casino royal back in the day, go dalton, you did a great job.

  • I'm a huge bond fan, Timothy Dalton was seriously underrated. By far my favorite.

  • deffinetly

  • yeah! I liked his movies so much, I think he is better than Moore, and just as good as connery! (Not to say I didn't like them; if it's Bond, then I'm a fan :)

  • I definitely agree on both.

  • this is one of my favorites!!!

  • Those of you that don't like Timothy Dalton as James Bond do need to understand he wanted to make James Bond as close to the books as possible. He did make James Bond more human and more of an anti hero as his mission from MI6 did not always come first as he wanted to avenge his friend Felix Leiter.

  • This is one of my favorite bond movies! one of the best.

  • mine too

  • I really´, really enjoied the movie, but it reminded me more of an 80s Cop movie than of a bond movie.

  • I have every one of the Ultimate Edition Bond DVDs. Yes, EVERY FILM including License to Kill is uncut.

H30Studios: Can't you just upload them to Youtube lol?

  • Quite frankly, if I were to have a romantic tryst with Sanchez's girl, I would have way more than one dude with a machine gun sleeping at the stairway.

  • The guard falling asleep on the job ruined the romantic tryst. His machine gun was useless!

  • Does anyone know where i can fine the uncut deaths of the guard's head exploding and also Rico's leg being diced in the grinder?

  • You would have to buy the Ultimate Edition DVD of License to Kill to view those scenes.

  • Are you positive their on this DVD because i thiught that the Bond people would never let them out of their valts at Pinewood, do you have the Ultimate Edition DVD with them to tell me for sure, because i havn't got them yet, hopefully Xmas! lol!

  • I have every one of the Ultimate Edition Bond DVDs. Yes, EVERY FILM including License to Kill is uncut.

  • Oh right, okay then! Thank you very much for letting me know, you see i still only got the special edition DVD's from about the time The World Is Not Enough came in 1999, think i should update about now though! lol! Thanks again!

  • Sanchez is the second best villian of the serie....the first is Blofeld XD

  • Best Timothy Dalton movie!

  • Timothy Dalton was good as Bond but I'm not sure if he was Bond himself.

Sanchez was a likeable villain throughout the film.

  • Timothy Dalton was the best 007

  • I was noticed that in casino royal, he reminded me of dalton, am glad someone else noticed.

  • Like other people have said, Timothy Dalton was definately the closest resembelance to James Bond in the novels by Ian Flemming. This & Goldeneye are my fav bond films, LTK has everything & is different but the way its done in the film is excellent and if i am right when LTK first came out in the UK it was rated a 15 wasnt it? Which makes this the most violent Bond ever released to date.

  • There was talk of it having to be edited to get it down from an 18 to a 15! there's a thought!

  • One of the best pre-title credit sequences, and the best song since Spy who loved me. Dalton is the romantic bond. Better than Brosnan at least.

  • Based on a true story?

  • Listen to that sweet Michael Kamen score!
