  • wat type of karate is this shotokan or kyokushin please tell me if its shotokan

  • @kungfuwarrior6 I believe that this is Shotokan but I personally prefer Kyokushin!

  • i like how most of you guys just came to this video to mentally masturbate with eachother while i just came on here to learn and further my training, so basically shut the fuck up.

  • bla bla bla....the best technic of this guy is the kiai

  • muay thai kick is much more superior

  • @tgf76 Ur much more stupid :D

  • @LtActionCam

?????????? maybe i am stupid mate, but i still stand by what i say. I have practice karate for 8 years then took up MT and the muay thai {with chin) kick is way more effective than using the ball of your foot.

  • @tgf76 Hey tgf. As it is mostly true what you state, its usually because the "chin" kicks can be thrown at full power with no consequenses, and most often is. However, toe or shin, the movement is mostly the same and you can use the drivethrough for almost any kicks. So in reality, equal power, but with the ball of the foot, you get a tiny impact area, able to easier break bones, or easier reach into the liver. But high risk of breaking toes at an elbow :)

  • i bet this guy is a great teacher.

  • when he kicks the bottom of the bag if that hit your knee cap it would put you in a world of hurt or if hit hit your balls they would end up looking like a pair of beach balls in a bin liner of unworldly pain.

  • very helpful...especially for my karate class....i hate those damned wooden posts....

  • nice video, but there is no power in any of those strikes, i studied shotocan katate for ten years and had to leve to study betters arts that are not as ridged as karate, for me they had to be more fluid and flree flowing, still nice video tho,

  • Elegance, power, speed, and technique. Bravo!

    Much respect. Oss!

  • I have to quickly mention that not all techniques 'snap' back, there is something that has been taught in shotokan since the beginning. It is called kekomi! Besides, if you train in Shotokan, it is easy to convert any snapping technique to a thrusting one if needed.

  • this is shotokan karate....

  • i think if this guy switches to kyokushin he would be much better he has a foundation already

  • ok nice but..... karate students / instructro are famous for their stances and balance. this clip shows none of them . in addition to, a bag is usefull in order to learn how to retrack the kicking leg. kick and bring back. you take advantage of its bounching effect and then learne to do it your self. i did not see that in this vid. apart from that we show devotion and power nonetheless.

  • @papaiosif maybe YOU should put together a video YOURSELF so everyone gets so everyone gets to see your skills (if you have any and are not just good at criticizing others. This video seems pretty good to me.

  • @PowerhouseTheDojo i guess that you like grilled chicken.. i hate grilled chicken and both of us are not chefs yet we have an opinion the sense of taste and the sens to judge. and i do not understand your comment. i said i saw power devotion etc. and i stressed out what i did not like. my skills are good i do not know if they are better but believ me they are good. good enough to understand what i see. since you like it follow his instruction and copy his moves. for all i care

  • @papaiosif kick and bring back?why?no power shotokan shittest martial arts ever

  • @bushidoartss you always bring back the kicking leg quick..otherwise someone will grap it easily... and shotokan is not a shitty art. no art is shitty. there are hundrends of thousand of people into shotokan it is a disrespect to them to say that their art is a shitty one. peace

  • @bushidoartss "sell dans belts to stupid country as australia america england." So countries where English is the first language are where people are stupid enough to train in Shotokan? I noticed from your profile that you did shotokan. Can I ask how long you did it?

"japanese does not belivie shotokan anymore they have kudo." That's quite a generalisation. What are you basing it on? I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm just wondering.

  • @MrGazamatron 20 years ago in japan every news paper every tv was talking about karate traditional. have you been in japan now?i would recomended after when shotboxing tournamnet become popular where fighters have no rules just fighting for survive they saw how shotokan masters getting fucked up/first of all fitnes was not enough second all their blocks works if only you do shotokan punch not real punches, they did not even survive 30 seconds.after that shotokan lost popularity.

  • @bushidoartss Although traditional martial arts clearly lack agility and brutality, as a martial arts student (karate, aikido) I do believe that they certainly help you grow as a real warrior, not just a fighter, because of the philosophy behind it. First lesson you learn: these are defense arts, not butt kicking stuff. Don't get me wrong, I enojy watching full contact fights, but I'd never get into it. And when I've had real fights in the street I'd never hit the other on the ground.

  • @bushidoartss excuse me every game and has its Rules..firstly there is NOT Martial Art game called MMA or UFC

its a new game collects in it all players from all Traditional MArtial Arts like Juijitsu/judo/Muay/karate/TiKon Do/kong fu ......... All

and make them fight by it's own rule not any Martial Arts Rules.....so the rule of the game control its level of difficulity ,level of Fitness, of how you contact ...everyting

  • Respond to this video...

so don't critisize any Tradional game or any Martial Art games because all of them are combined together all of them are ONE and there is nothing call a good game and bad game but there is a good player and bad player in any game ...I think that the best thing is to train more than one Martial Arts and in different ways

  • @MrGazamatron now in japan nobody cares about traditional martial as it was before. because too much traditional rules make it not martial arts just stupid game..if you do not now what is muay thai or kudo karate just have look on youtube. i was doing shotokan 8 years..i know what i am talking about.

  • No goodI sorry. In Kyokushin Karate we do not work on that way, this is not so fluid (the guy is talking a lot) and powerful as in Kyokushin. Even a student could do it better than the sensei on that clip.

  • Cool. May I add that besides the regular Shotokan mawashi geri, try to learn and employ Kyokushin mawashi geri. Though slightly slower, its more powerful. Also, when throwing the hook punch, use smaller arc (like a boxer's hook) so as to maximize speed and use more hip (kihon of kagi-tsuki is small). Large haymaker-hooks are slow and could be easily blocked.

  • I do this every once in a while. Kicking the botton of the bag as if you were kicking someone in the balls really hurts my foot ends up all swollen. lol

  • Very good. P. Tundo style...

  • Everyone, thanks for your comments.

    Train Harder!

  • Yes good stuff I USE THE BAG REGULARLY AND IT GIVES BETTER KIME THAN THE MAKIWARA.

    oss

  • Oss!

  • compliments!

  • Good stuff. Nice kicks

  • His spinning Uraken shows a definite influence of Yahara Sensei

  • Oss

  • what type of mawashi is that

  • u really need to learn some manners

  • Great video clip mate its interesting to see karate techniques being used on the bag especially the punches instead of the same old jab cross hook clips thank you

  • Very nice, many thanks.

  • Thank you for this.
