  • How does that stand with the law in the US? In the UK it would have to be taxed and licensed as a motorized vehicle, as 1000w far exceeds what is classed as merely an electric assisted pedal bike in this country. Over it is 15mph only... anything above that would have to be be taxed and insured, basically meaning you may as well go the whole hog and get a motorbike.

  • @GhibliFan1 In the US for most states as long as it is under 2 HP and goes only to a top speed of 25 as for 1000w I do not think that exceeds the law so it should be fine.

  • @HowtoBuildThings My bad if he had the right controller it would need to be registered and by right controller I mean one of at least 200amp so the motor can get the full potential but then again I do not know what batterys he has or what the exact equipment he has on it so it can differ hope that helps

  • Very nice :)

But for 1000 watts.... Is it not geared? I've seen some ones 500watt do 35-40mph

  • great work..... this bike looks fast and sleek.... could ya tell me where did ya get your 1000 watt motor and controller and how much did ya pay for em... ??/

    thanx
