There was a Siddartha, but the enlightenment that he understood is a transcendental knowledge, so that all future Buddhas are the same as the first. To incarnate then is not for something of the flesh to be established, but for the enlightened mentality to be manifest in a living being. That is "re" incarnation.

I might say he is a person who follow the path the Buddha has given. Or else..you know. Meditation has it own story long before the emergence of Buddhism. Buddha learned from his many teachers and found it useful, so he taught it to his followers too. But he stated "people achieve purification only through wisdoms" and meditation helps partially.

Buddhisn doesn't reject the existence of gods but according to Tripitaka, Buddha said gods couldn't release us from suffering and they are not at all whom we can really depend on. @nativegirl228 The GOds in Buddhism are in my opinion the DIETies. DIeties are still in the cycle of Samsara , when the dieties die they goto Hell. Jesus comes down from Heavan then ends up in Hell. Buddhas are outside the cycle but come into the cycle to help. Dieties are considered below a Buddha and need offerings to stay in the Diety realm, they like to be worshiped or looked at. They die Buddhas do not die.

Great is the Wisdom of the Buddhas past present and in the future. This saint does have a certain peaceful, lofty and detached air about his being which is difficult to see in the so called erudite monks of today seeking sens pleasures. So being monks doesnt in itself guide the laymen on the path unless there is genuine effort on the part of the seeker of truth. It is indeed fortunate to have ahd the opportunity to watch the beauty and grace of a real spritual being!!!
I agree too some extend. Let's say NASA found a planet exactly like earth, all kinds if creatures like here and tons that are extinct here. We could just move in there. If we did in our current state (according to physics and exponantial growth) we kill destroy that planet in half the time we took now. It all might be in a cycle, but all our current behaviour isn't helping the cycle and possibly destroy it like several natural cycles we've destroyed before. Like it or now, we are the problem.

I am absolutely sure the reinkarnation exists.The biggest crime of most religions is that they deny the principles of reincarnation. They deny the god´s rules of justice. By wrong doing you will suffer consequences in this life or next life. This explains all sufferings diseases... None of you have studied Buddhism! he cannot be the reincarnation of buddha because to become a Buddha means to liberate oneself completly from reincarnation, Guatamas last incarnation was when he became a buddha! There will be future buddhas who will gain full liberation from reincarnation also maitreya is said to be the next future buddha , he is residing in the Tusita paradise now and his last incarnation will be on earth where he will gain full enlightenment(ie last incarnation)

The moment you depend on anyone to guide you, you are assuming they know where to go. are you sure? look at the state of the world, it is appalling with all the corruption of power and the desire for more power. If he was a real teacher, he would say, "please do not follow anyone, trust no one, worship nothing, look within yourself for the Truth." to point is not a duty. its a movement of compassion. Am I not doing my 'duty' now to awaken you?

The end of my journey was met at the beginning of seeking. There was nothing to do but see life just as it is and it could not stand up to reality. As all this life is changing, truth is changeless. That which is beyond the self is nameless. conversation? to whom, to what? God is silence.

You can sit in a mountain for years, but unless you receive the Spirit of Jesus Christ literally within you, yes, literally HE comes and merges with your spirit, then you will be subjected to the delusion of want, need, desire and lusts. You can deny yourself only for so long, suppress only for moments, even extended moments, but the true enlightenment comes when Christ sends the Holy Spirit to you which is nothing short of the literal Spirit of God and Christ (They are ONE) merging you to them

Pair Janaja, perhaps you are too literal in your understanding of the word "incarnate." What is the Buddha? Was he something other than a man? There was a Siddartha, but the enlightenment that he understood is a transcendental knowledge, so that all future Buddhas are the same as the first. To incarnate then is not for something of the flesh to be established, but for the enlightened mentality to be manifest in a living being. That is "re" incarnation.

I cannot understand why people keep calling him Buddha boy or incarnation of Buddha. It's simply impossible in the logic of Buddhism.
I might say he is a person who follow the path the Buddha has given. Or else..you know. Meditation has it own story long before the emergence of Buddhism. Buddha learned from his many teachers and found it useful, so he taught it to his followers too. But he stated "people achieve purification only through wisdoms" and meditation helps partially.

@PairJaNaJa Buddh' in Sanskrit means the enlightened one, or the realised person. In ancient times it's common to call sages as Buddh' (silent vowel pronounce as Buddha).
There is nothing mystical in calling someone Buddha. Almost everyone misunderstand the term due to lack of understanding of history of India and sanskrit.

You find that Buddha is like a term in class with Bodhisattva, Mahasattva, Bhikhu, Brahmin, Arahat, Vajra, God, etc. The enlightened one can manifest as any of them, and even shapeshift by supernatural powers. Men see Buddha as god-like but Buddha sees himself as merely awakened.

Buddhisn doesn't reject the existence of gods but according to Tripitaka, Buddha said gods couldn't release us from suffering and they are not at all whom we can really depend on. However, people worship gods because they want someone or something to lean on while Buddha said we have to lean on ourselves. So in general...who on earth wants to struggle by him/herself?

@nativegirl228 The GOds in Buddhism are in my opinion the DIETies. DIeties are still in the cycle of Samsara , when the dieties die they goto Hell. Jesus comes down from Heavan then ends up in Hell. Buddhas are outside the cycle but come into the cycle to help. Dieties are considered below a Buddha and need offerings to stay in the Diety realm, they like to be worshiped or looked at. They die Buddhas do not die.

According to buddhism believes, a Buddha is even higher than gods because they actually have destroyed the inner ignorance of the self, the"ego", which on the other hand a god hasn't. A god still has delutions such as anger, attachment, and so forth.
We all have the same potential to become a Buddha, not by praying or begging, but by putting teachings into practice.
Nirvana is a state of mind, not a place like heaven.

@nativegirl228 I think you two misunderstood each other. 02615 meant Gods as the beings in the Gods Realm the realm higher than deva and human realm not the Supreme God or the Creator Or Source of evrything. Buddhists believe in God or what the other religions call creator or source. Their theory is "nothing can be cr8ted out of anythng" ther must be sumthing that is alwys existing in order to cr8te evrything and that is God. But I thnk universe itself can be God because it may be always exsting

@02615 No we don't believe in gods, Buddha sad that there isn't any supreme beings. But it's true that in some versions of the Buddha legends it set that Shiva bow to Buddha, but that is because he has found out that even the gods is an illusion, like everything else

But others believe in many nature gods, and is mixed in with indian culture and gods. Look up how buddha reached enlightment, There iss a story with a hindu god involved.

also they dont interfere in our affairs so they are not really gods.
this world is supposed to be a dim reflection of the world of gods.
and buddha is a person who has reached a state of enlightenment and wont have to reincarnate anymore.
the gods still reincarnate so the buddha has reached beyond the realm of the gods.

I would like to ask the boy about big bang theory, the age and size of universe, the speed of light and beyond and also the nature of black hole, its matter and its energy. and the most important of all, I like to ask how can all human live without difference in faith, and those unwanted wars and poverty.
I do not believe that we should respect or worship somebody just because he can do mediation better than anybody else. You cant be divine for just that reason.

Great is the Wisdom of the Buddhas past present and in the future. This saint does have a certain peaceful, lofty and detached air about his being which is difficult to see in the so called erudite monks of today seeking sens pleasures. So being monks doesnt in itself guide the laymen on the path unless there is genuine effort on the part of the seeker of truth. It is indeed fortunate to have ahd the opportunity to watch the beauty and grace of a real spritual being!!!

I agree too some extend. Let's say NASA found a planet exactly like earth, all kinds if creatures like here and tons that are extinct here. We could just move in there. If we did in our current state (according to physics and exponantial growth) we kill destroy that planet in half the time we took now. It all might be in a cycle, but all our current behaviour isn't helping the cycle and possibly destroy it like several natural cycles we've destroyed before. Like it or now, we are the problem.
