  • Good simple video anyone is caple of this diy job think i might get me a new pollen/cabin filter tonorrow and change mine

  • why would someone not like this video? its so simple....

  • THANKS MUCH APPRECIATED FROM SYDNEY AUST

  • how often does that filter needs to be changed?

  • @pavlik100

Every 20,000 - 30,000 miles. Depending on your location.

  • My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325 weekends. 328i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the E46 is about 13.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $17 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:

    E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

    E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

    E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

    E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

    Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

  • I just changed my cabing filter and em glad I watched this video because now I need to check for that arrow. I was wondering how I could tell. Any one know the name of that spray? My mechanic told be it was a evaporater problem, Causing that wierd wet dog smell

  • @JuOn666

Fungus growing inside (or other type of mold).

  • how many filters are there on this car...

do not hate.. i am new to cars :)

  • @kakia17

    Oil filter

    Air filter for car intake

    Transmission filter

    Cabin Air filter

    :)

  • @millertimebmw : Thanks for the great video. I own a 2007 328i and need to replace my micro filter. Is that the same as the Cabin Air filter or would that be the air filter for car intake? If the later, do you have any videos/sites that you recommend for doing that on my own? Also, any specific OEM brand your recommend for both of these items? Thanks a lot for your help!!

  • Thanks for the video zach, just bought a 330i and enjoying diy vids like this, thx again.

  • Good good good deal!! Thought I might have to crawl half way through the firewall, hang upside down, and do the hokey pokey just to change this filter out. This is much easier than I anticipated, and it doesnt sound like I need to make a trip to mars for parts either!! Hell yeah!!

  • I am truly jealous. This is too easy.

  • Liked the video. Thank you.

  • Thanks alot millertimebmw :)

  • Wow, changing cabin filter for this car is easier than the Acura TL.

  • omg - other who just discavered bike! guis do not record same video for too many times

  • Nice vid Zach. One question, will this get rid of the musty smell from my air vents/system? is there anything else i should do to rid the smell?

  • @rickylayal

There are sprays you can buy that will kill the mold or mildew!

    Cheers,

    Zach

  • @millertimebmw Is the TYC cabin filter the best one for this car? I need to be two filters. I was going to get the K&N filter but someone told me the oil they cover it in doesn't do to well on BMWs or something like that.

  • @rickylayal My car was brand new and it had that smell! I complained and they sprayed some crap in there! Should be a recall on that shit!

  • Do you have a video of changing the front turn signal bulbs?

  • @mwescoat1 Not at the moment sorry.

    Zach

  • Awesome! Now even I (!!!) know how to replace a cabin air filter in a BMW car! And this is so easy, I must add!! Thanks to you!!!!!

  • @MissPrincessGrapes

    YOUR WELCOME :D

Thanks for the kind comment ^_^

    Zach

  • Hi, firstable thank you for your sharing. Could you please tell me how can i change the cabin air filter for my 1995 bmw 325i.

  • @zbinfo This is a more difficult task but not too hard.

Under the glovebox you must remove the cover and this will gain access to the filter, let me know if I can help via message.

    Zach

  • Thanks mate. Very interesting. Your videos break stereotypes that modern cars must be serviced only by servicemen only. Apparently, Easy and essantial things you can do by your own.

  • My pleasure!

Like I always say, have at it yourself! If you fail, ask for help. If that fails, then take it to a repair shop :)

  • The directions that come with the TYC filter are incorrect. They clearly state that the arrows on the front have to point DOWN. I dont see how this can be correct since the seating tabs on the sides have to point down and the one in the back has to point up. Right??

  • @safetcko

Correct, there is a VERY apparent curved shape that only allows one way fitment. Good eye,

    Zach

  • @myjanuary151987 CORRECT!

Enjoy getting a bit dirty and saving a few pounds also!

    Zach
