  • Oh mofongo! Love it! My friends and I are all living here in the states, so each time we go home we seek for mofongo, rice and pigeons peas, lechon (roasted pork), medalla (beer), and pasteles (banana dough dish). Love it!

  • what is the spice mixture he puts on the huge chuck of meat at 5:15 Right after he adds the olive oil? what is the spelling?

  • @11you11 its sazon. goya is usually the brand that is most commonly found in supermarkets, in an orange box.

  • @11you11 My friend the mixture he puts on the meat is called "ADOBO" not sazon. In Puerto Rico what we usually do is use already mix ADOBO, this simplifies the whole cooking/seasoning process.

They were out of shrimp, so I opted for the Mofongo con Chicharrón de Pollo. It was AMAZING!!!! These are good people that serve great food. Can't wait to work again in South Florida.
