  • This is what gives ballet a bad name, why would anyone post this? You will never be a ballerina and I don't think you want to be so its fine. Though stating that you have had 12 years of training and that your teacher was the best at your studio isn't saying very much, because that means you went to a shit school. On a good note I'm glad you had fun keep dancing if its what you love. Anyone can dance, however to do it well is a completely different story.

  • I do have to disagree with some of these harsh comments. Everyone learns at their own speed and level of skill. However the dancer should learn to take criticisms better. I agree with all the technical comments: straighten your knees, turnout, POINT YOUR TOES. I'm sorry but your instructor can't be as good as you say if this is your technique after 12 years. However keep on dancing and I hope you have improved and grown through this experience. It's a great and challenging piece

  • I do have to disagree with so

  • wow, you're horrible! your parents must have paid the school good money to let you go on stage. I feel sorry the talented girls at your school who didn't get to perform because of you. shame on favoritism

  • Shes not very good up on pointe,

  • Making this a favorite for a rainy day when I need a HARDY laugh. It's become evident that anyone can be given pointe shoes now-a-days

    .

  • delightfully hilarious.

  • haha she deleted two of my posts as spam!!

  • 나는 그, 하하 할 당황 것입니다

  • oh por dios :o

Alguien ocupo, Apuntar sus pies :s

  • Okay, I will say, you have seriously beautiful presentation and your expressions are great. But your technique really needs work, I'm not trying to be mean but you REAALLLY need to work on simple ballet technique, by this level your corrections shouldn't be "turn out!" and "point your feet!" But you really need to. And if you can't, you really shouldn't be en pointe. It's dangerous. It's great you want to have fun, but you shouldn't be en pointe if you're not going to take your dance seriously.

  • hey en dehors WHERE ARE YOU ?

  • Ok Im really srry but im better on pointe then that and I started 3 weeks ago

  • @cucumers789456 oh really? you're saying you can do jumps on pointe when you started 3 weeks ago? that's kind of hard to believe...this dancer isn't that bad!

  • @123amandal I never said that I could do jumps on pointe however I never said she was a bad dancer just that she's not the best on pointe. I give her credit for trying and she obviously loves doing it so she should keep working.

  • Energy is great because ur canary fairy!!!

  • If you had just pointed through your shoes just a little bit more, you would have been gorgeous (: your stage presence is fantastic, and your energy is great. The Canary Fairy Variation from prologue of Sleeping Beauty is a very hard variation because of its speed, I think that if you had performed the version that the Royal Ballet uses, you might have been better off.

  • wow! you've been dancing for 12 years! are you serious!

  • Why are we using caps lock? Oh wait I forgot, you must be yelling at me because I have no ballet training although I go to a professional ballet school. However, I recently learned the Canary Fairy variation in repertoire so I know its fast and I actually had a nice thing to say. Too bad I was told to “SHUT IT”…

  • Gonna admit, not the best Ballet performance I've ever seen. But, good for you, way to put yourself out there. It takes a lot of guts to expose yourself as a dancer. I for one would never do so. So, in conclusion, people should really stop hating, even though you suck.

  • you might have gone to a dance studio you liked or you have been dancing for 12 years, but i must say, you should have NOT been on pointe shoes at that time. You 100% possiblity that you could of broken an ankle. Also some of the dance moves you were doing was not BALLET. Oh, one more thing. I didn't think you were fat!! Some really good ballet dancers i've seen have meat on their bones :D

  • ...um...

  • WOW, that was horrible. and don't tell me that I don't know what the hell i'm talking about because i've been doing ballet for 8 fucking years at a pre- professional dance school. so you SHUT IT

  • That cannot be called BALLET!

  • you have no turn out whatsoever! you should work in that and a lot! You're sissones are not great, you have to straighten the legs. About your feet well you can't see the arch and they're not pointed at all and your pointes don't seem to be broken into. Regardless of how fast the variation is your overall foot work is very poor. Also if you cared about your performance as a dancer you shouldn't be consuming hot pockets.

  • well, i just did this variation and i have danced for 5 years, not 12, and i could hold my turn out AND i could actually stand on point.. haha...

  • well, i did just did this variations and i have danced for 5 years, not 12, and i could hold my turn out AND i could actually stand on point.. haha...

  • she just should have done another version. with the speed this one looks difficult unless you are at an higher level. besides, at least she smiled unlike most students

  • omfg she looks like a whale with points lol

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 , Hi! I will asnwer your post on the vid. First off I would like to say that i have been dancing sice I was a kid till now, even if you had the best teachers in the school it still depends on your own capability whether you can dance on yourself or not. 2ND...........I do have balet training and I go for ballet everyday for more than 3 hours and won many competitions and THREE, about your weight, I dont care about that anyway and you dont have to explain it. Thank You.

  • have u ever heard of turnout? and pointing ur feet?

  • Just work on pointing your feet and strengthing your feet and your good to go! And weight doesnt matter if your a dancer(: Your very graceful, just work on feet !!

  • @1251madz * and your not fat at all!!!

  • i actually do dance, and i understand that some people just dance for fun. I just want to know if you had correct training before going on pointe. I'm not saying you didn't, but id be nice to know so u don't get hurt.

  • Holy fuck Jesus shit I laughed sooooo hard. But seriously, hang it up. Too big, not enough technique, and that's all o have to say.

  • very bad technique... =/

but, such a lovely girl... should take more classes before dancing classical variations on pointée...

  • The problem is not being fat, but the technique that is very bad, her teacher should make an update since forgotten the basic principles of classical

  • im sorry, but that was awful. u have to work hard if u want to be good. and dont say i dont know anything because ive had8 years of ballet training. how old were u here? im only 12 and can do much better.

  • in the info box you said we had zero balet trainig! WRONG most of the people who commented do ballet and have traing so just saying your really bad, and you should just quit ballet

  • this video is so funny! im sorry your not very good, your really have to pointe your feet and stretch your knees!!!

  • HAHAHAHAAHA what a joke...

  • I am a ballerina and that was horrible!! She wasn't even pointing her feet.

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 12 years. really? only 2 months show in this dance.. I think my cat could do better.

  • i hope you don't get picked on too much at your ballet school :(

  • is this a joke? i cant tell if shes just terrible or trying to be funny..? looks like shes been dancing for 5 MONTHS...

  • OMG she looks so dumb!

  • Dont listen 2 those freaks. ur bettr than me

  • dont listen 2 those losers ur awesome and btw better than me duh and u guys shut up

  • Never mind...I just read the description that you're no longer dancing.

  • You should ask your teacher to give you some exercises to help improve your turn out and strengthen your legs and ankles. Also, try going off pointe for a few months. You don't look quite ready to go en pointe in a performance. Once you get a little stronger, try 6 months of classes en pointe and then try another performance. And never stop dancing in the summer. Take summer classes or do any summer program your studio has and practice and stretch every day at home. Running out of characters...

  • You have a nice smile, but there is no excuse for dancing so terribly for a person who has been dancing for 12 years. If I EVER danced any variation like this; not pointing feet, no turn-out, bent legs, and ugly hands, my instructor would clonk my head with a pointe shoe! Go back to Pre-Ballet.

  • Like three year old is better than that :D

  • the applause says everything.......

  • Girl, seriously just dont even make excuses! I am a bigger dancer also but i could do that way better than you just did with POINTED FEET! You looked like you were marking it, instead of doing it full out!!! AND your arms were terrifying! Make them prettier!! So no excuses ecspecially since its your fault you gained 30lbs by eating hot pockets....kiss my ass...

  • On the plus side this dancer at least smiled and she doesn't look like she actually thinks she is good.

  • LOL! Ever heard of turnout? Or pointing your feet and straightening your knees? Or... Ballet? This is as good as that Esmeralda! Is she allergic to vegetables? As my russian teacher would say: "you need to be like girl with grumble grumble empty tummy".

  • I have got to say this was one of my favorite variations of the canary fairy. :D Even if it wasn't professional, your smile was so sweet and your dance moves just exuberated joy; that's what made you look so beautiful! Hope you are still dancing!

  • You mean to tell me you have been dancing for over 12 years and cant point your toes, cant land in fifth position, can't straighten your knees, and can't turn out. Those are all things I learned after my first 3-4 years of ballet. Seriously your weight is fine, but everything else ballet wise was painful to look at....

  • your not even pointing your toes!! come on!

  • I did this variation when I was fourteen years old... and if you've done ballet for twelve years, have the decency to point your feet, and turn out.

  • It looks like she's making fun of the ballet. :(

  • Im doing this same variation at my dance school but the moves are different than mine.....people who thought this video was terrible are wrong cause ballet is very hard lol ive been doing it for like 11-12 years so yeah and its even harder 2 do it on point.....just ask any ballerina lol!!!!

  • I might understand your reasoning if you had 2-4 years of ballet training, but 12? I actually do dance, so I know what I'm talking about. This is embarrassing. Why would you post this on youtube unless you want the general public to laugh at you and your hideous feet?

  • OH MY GOD!!! :O jumping jacks at 0:15 lol

  • I think her smile makes her a really cute fairy

hey all of ya shut up !

WHAT'S WRONG WITH DOING WHAT YOU LIKE?

saying something real horrid to hurt someone behind the computer is real wrong

All she's done is to dance some ballet and upload the video. why does she have to be criticised?

  • that was horrible im embarrassed for that person....i am seriously speechless right now...just wow that was painful to watch.

  • that was horrible im embarrassed for that person....i am seriously speechless right now...just wow that was painful to watch.

  • Oh my god!! Orrible..

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69

First off....that is a nasty username you've got there. Begging much?

Second off....Most people that are watching this video are probably dancers. What person who doesn't dance looks up "Sleeping Beauty Canary Variation"? Dumb.

Third off....you are terrible. Just accept it.

  • @hasitbroke01 -- I'm not a dancer, and I looked up the performance. Just tossing that out there :)

  • @belladharma

-I do believe I said "Most people" not all people. Just tossing that out there :)

  • @hasitbroke01 -- I wasn't referring to the "most people" part of your comment. I was referring to the part where you said it was "dumb" to imagine someone who doesn't dance to have looked up this particular variation.

But thank you for the attempt at passive-aggressive snark by mimicking my comment.

  • @belladharma

I adore fighting on youtube. All the cool kids are doing it.

  • @hasitbroke01 -- I wouldn't consider any of this a fight. Differing opinions and lame snarkiness, perhaps.

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69

    you suck. 12 years?

i've been dancing for almost 10, i'm fourteen, and IM better than you.

and i dont think i have THE BEST TEACHER EVER.

so go take your fatass to the zoo.

  • @annieloveism

If you've been dancing 10 years and think ur good,

give us a link to your vids so we can compare you to her.

Lets see if you got a big smile on your face too.

  • oh and ps you dont like the criticism ??? Why did you put it on youtube?! I'm so glad it was your last show considering it was just for fun for you nevermind the people that paid good money for you to do THAT. And ps I danced for 11 years.

  • ouch that was painful looked like a drag queen with a month of practice.

  • I've never seen that variation before... pointed feet and better hands would have made it a whole lot better, just saying

  • とりあえず痩せようか(・ω・)

  • HEY LOSERS!!! so that was me in the video....FIRST off i want to say that i had been dancing for 12 years by this time, and i had one of the BEST teachers at that school. 2ND....how many of yall have any ballet training? like ZERO? thats what i thought. and THREE...about my weight....the summer before this i was much thinner...but thanks to hot pockets for a whole summer i gained 30 lbs...my dance performance lacked after that, i admit. HOWEVER this dance is VERY fast so I suggest you SHUT IT.

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 Awwuuuhh girl , you were beautiful don't listen to these ass holes. and you were never fat!!

  • @Southernprincess95 okay, so you call the people who is insulting her "assholes", however you were the one who uploaded the vid and allowed users to post comments even though you know her dancing was bad and people were going to laught at her... and you call yourself her friend?!

    hypocrisy much?

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 um, if u had been dancing for twelve years with one of the BEST teachers, wouldn u be rly good? and i bet evey person comenting on this video do hae ballet training. and yes, its fast, thats y u learn how to be graceful while doing it....

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 you tell them girl!!!! awesome to see that you are actually enjoying yourself on stage...after all, isn't that why most of us dance...and not all of us are sticks..nice to see normal people do ballet and love it!

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 not that I want to be an asshole, but you're technique was poor, y I'm sorry, I've been dancing ballet for a long time too, and I know sometimes critiques can hurt.... but some other times the best it's to deal with it... I think it's nice that you try to defend your self... but, honey, you need to face that in this viedeo you weren't good. Sorry and try to improve your technique!

    Good luck!

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 i am doing this variation for my show soon! you'd been dancing for 12 years when you danced this?!?! hmmmm your style of dancing is a little different i guess....but everyone has their own way of expressing themselves!!

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 I liked your variation and you are totally right this dance is like extremely fast it's insane. We are doing Sleeping Beauty this year for our ballet performance and it's going great but I hope I don't get this variation. I'm not a very good Allegro dancer haha! You did a great job. :D

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 Ashley! this was awesome! don't listen to them!!! and weren't you sick that weekend but danced anyway?

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 No matter what you said your dancing kindof sucks so yeah

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 No matter what you said your dancing kindof sucks so yeah. oh and if you say you had one of the best teachers at your school, you are a liar bc your teacher isn't good and you don't have any technique bc if you did then you would pointe your feet. kaybai

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 I've been dancing since I was 2 years old, and im 13. That's 11 years. I don't mean to be rude, but I do know what i'm talking about. If you had one of the best teachers in the school they can't be good teachers. And it doesn't matter how fast or slow the dance is, with 12 years of dance experience you should be able to do this almost flawlessly. No matter height weight or size. and lastly you were'nt ready for pointe.

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 Don't listen to them. I'd like to see them in any dance class, doubt they could last. Besides any dancer knows how hard some of the techniques are. Just keep at it :D

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 you are beautiful but you are not good at all! everything is wrong and at your level you must do someting easier!

  • @ifyouseekamyplease69 I know how you feel. Some of my video's on my old account where of dances like this and I got VERY rude comments! I've been dancing since I was 4 and they said I was horrible and other stuff. So Wait a go for standing up for yourself! It doesn't matter if you good or bad (In this case, your AWESOME) it only matters if you enjoy it! Keep on dancing! <3

  • PLEASE pointe your toes! It would make in sooo much nicer

  • Her feet needed some work, but she was very energetic and pleasing to watch!

  • Shame on you guys, honestly!! Anyone who really knows what ballet is about understands why some people just enjoy themselves and don't aspire a professional career. It's nice that a ballet school, who doesn't train professionals, stages a classical ballet like this. it's absolutely beautiful to see people having fun. no need to have a bitch bout it!!!!!!!

  • O god, that was....horrible

  • i think people are being unfairly horid. i think its wonderfull that sombody wants to do ballet, not just to be a pro dancer

its great fun and exercixe, its not like shes trying to win a comp

shes prettty cute, and fair play to go on point with out being like fully obsesed with ballet

  • shes very fat for being on pointe

  • @BaLleTLoOveEr

she's definitely not. maybe she hasn't the right body for a professional career but it's perfectly fine when she just does it for fun!

  • 0:12

    O.o

    Who choreographed that?!?!

  • Im glad she was having fun! it looked like she was really enjoying herself! unfortunetly, Sleeping Beauty is NOT a ballet anyone should be only having fun with. its one of the classics and should not be tampered with as this was. this school obviously has no respect for the arts. The dancer was ok. obviously not trained right but the only thing i was worried about was her safety! She could have really hurt herself that way dancing on pointe without being properly trained!

  • you need to pull up out off your pointe, and pointe your feet and don't fun parrallel

  • WOW you suck.

  • Hey people that commented those mean things, give it a rest. She tried and that's all that matters. Yeah, she can use some work, but everyone can touch up here and there, right? YES.

  • Sorry but not very good at all. Take your time and go backwards to get more strength on your pointe. I was a heavier dancer as well but I never let that stop me from working hard and showing that I could do the work. Looks like you need a better teacher.

  • Rotation would be a good place to start: 5th position and softer shanks, they hold you back a bit.

  • Shuuder...

  • INMUNDAAA! GORDA

  • this is the most horrible thing ive seen.

  • omg.

  • U could really hurt yourself

  • @campanderson That's not nice, I would say her teachers are absolutely terrible!

  • @campanderson Listen biatch, I did not dance in that, but I am 11, I have been dancing for 9 years.... if you dont mind, she is a very good dancer... people of her weight, of which she was not before that proformance, it was a very good dance.. half the people i know of that weight cant even go on pointe, so please shut your mouth.. i dont think you even dance if you are leaving such a stupid comment, and yes i do know what im saying, because 9 years of ballet pays off!!!

  • is this a joke? because if she was performing this in front of a lot of people...... eesh

  • Is this a joke?

  • I think this is a poor variation. the ceor should have came up with something better to suit your talent. that was cruel. I know its not really your fault, cuz that ceg would have looked stupid if a pro did it. my advise to you is if u want to get better at ballet, get a better dance teacher. that idiot doesnt know what there doing. if u have a good enough ceog, someone who has a low skill level can still look good.

  • ......

  • is this real!!??

  • oh good lord...

  • point your feet.. and turn your legs out

  • credo, que horrivel

  • you need better turnout...and your feet aren't pointed

  • haha ashley!!! this is taylor (:

  • haha thanx whoevr u are! (yeah yeah thats me lol) ^_^

  • Go Ashley!!!!! Whoooo!!!!
