Just to let you know that the bible was not written by god but authored by man. I don't like how the book itself treat women like slaves. Above all, I found the biggest flaw in the holy bible which is the fall of man chapter of Adam and Eve. @JavaHappyHumanoid Christianity doesn't make sense to you because you fail to recognize logic. I have no issues with women speaking in the presence of a man, but to be submissive is not sexism. Sexism requires some sort of inequality, which the bible CLEARLY notes the sexes are not. Different roles? Absolutely. But it says that men and women are equals, and that men are to respect women just as much as they want to be respected.

Submission of women is sexist because there is no submissive without its respective dominant role. If one gender should submit to the other, it implies that the other gender has authority over them like a parent has over a child. That is NOT equality. I respect you as a person and i respect your faith. I'll just never understand it. So please respect that.

There are of course instances where it is not the case, but as I'm sure the overwhelming majority of us would contend, men dominate women in the bedroom, and for reasons more than just because that's the way it is. Women aren't suppressed in that way, they enjoy it. Don't get me wrong, I like my women to get wild and aggressive sometimes, but I'm sure the majority of the time, she wants a man...

But my fiance (after long discussion about what we both wanted, and how we wanted to run our relationship for the long haul) has been called a slut just for the sole fact she is even considering a more traditional-role relationship.

@12MonthsTilJune I just don't think that a person's career path, or lack of is predetermined by their genitalia. Some men are better nurturers than women, and some women are good at making money. I support women who stay home so long as it is their choice and not what they feel is "their place" as a women. I dont know if any system of government will ever be perfect. Even if a ruler is "kind" they are still a dictator. The people will just be lucky that he happens to be merciful.

@JavaHappyHumanoid It's not predetermined, but it is more likely. The sexes are obviously different. You say some men are better nurturers than women, that is true, but they are few and far between. I don't think women can't be good at making money, but I do think that more men will be as ruthless as necessary to get to the top. I do think that men are more competitive than women for the most part. There are always exceptions of course...

I can see why there might be concern because she's being manipulated, or treated poorly into thinking that. But to do it because she's a woman is her choice.

As for the analogy. There are perfect governments, monarchy/dictatorship provides one so long as the ruler is perfect, because things can be done faster and more easily than dem.

I just believe it is the role of both husband and wife to serve and take care of each other. If a man works and brings home the money, and the woman cooks and cleans (in a classic example), and they both AGREE upon it, not that the woman is forced to, but because she wants to, is there a problem? Many women LIKE their roles, they just wanted a choice. Now the choice to stay at home is pretty much being taken away...

@JavaHappyHumanoid but to say that the sexes are the same is to ignore reality. Treat for the individual, of course, but men and women DO have trends that are the heavy majority in a lot of cases. For example, go find me a man who has "security" as a favorite for a partner. Another couple you won't find : "intelligence" and "protection." Those frequently show up in women's top lists for what they want in a partner.
