Boost is relative to motor tolerance and the load of the turbo. A 78mm turbo at 5psi is going to put more stress on a car than a 57mm turbo at 5psi, its physics.

There are a few members on SVTperformance . com that are doing this. On street tires at the track expect 12.3 - 12.4 @ 118-120 due to traction. With just a pulley and tune will set my car at roughly 540 rwhp and in the 10's with proper traction. I would say that is impressive...even for a "heavy" car

@SVTCO I wouldnt say its better, a stock vs stock match the supra would of lost. supras are notorious for being turo friendy and react very well to boost. doesnt take much to hit over 1000hp in a supra. but this race was a supra's match. turbo is for top end, the gt500 has a eaton blower which makes all its boost in low end. had the two of these gone from a stop it would be a diffrent race. so probs to the supra in this race..are there any from a stop?
@boosted05stang i have nothing against a supra they perform very well against most cars once u up the boost on em, the only downfall is its relability, 600whp on stock internal, your looking at a freshing up the motor every 8-10k miles, but on the other hand, slap a kb supercharger or pully the eaton get about 525-560whp and not touch the motor for 100k+ miles, me personally id go with the gt500 just for that reason

@SVTCO I wouldnt say its better, a stock vs stock match the supra would of lost. supras are notorious for being turo friendy and react very well to boost. doesnt take much to hit over 1000hp in a supra. but this race was a supra's match. turbo is for top end, the gt500 has a eaton blower which makes all its boost in low end. had the two of these gone from a stop it would be a diffrent race. so probs to the supra in this race..are there any from a stop?

@boosted05stang i have nothing against a supra they perform very well against most cars once u up the boost on em, the only downfall is its relability, 600whp on stock internal, your looking at a freshing up the motor every 8-10k miles, but on the other hand, slap a kb supercharger or pully the eaton get about 525-560whp and not touch the motor for 100k+ miles, me personally id go with the gt500 just for that reason

@keeksta1 What are you talking about. 600whp on stock internals i very reliable. Have you ever been on Supra forums? Its more reliable than most motors at 600+whp. I like how people who don't even own a 2JZ and never worked on a 2JZ make up bullshit lies. Tell that to my friends who made 650whp and more on stock internals for 6+ years and 120,000 miles.
