Times have changed and shorts are no longer "short." Not quite the floral culottes that you may be used to, but shorts (especially swim trunks) have definately taken to that longer style.
If that gets you thinking, then you should see the JNKO jeans that have 50" wide legs. Now THOSE are culottes.
I'm afraid it's a generational joke. I have 3kids about your age and they see the pictures taken of me and my buds at the beach when I was in my 20s and we're wearing those tight "short shorts' and they make fun of the way we dressed
It's nothing personal. I wear the same style you wear now which resemble the women's skirt shorts-or 'culottes'. They're alot more comfortable. The shorts we wore were like staying in a cheap hotel- no ballroom.
I must have been REALLY drunk seeing that I have no memory of doing any of that.
but damn I look good.
