Hi great video, was having a hard time finding a basic video on liquid latex. Thanks! I also have a question on how to blend a mask to a face with liquid latex. I see that I need make-up sponges, face cream, baby powder and face make up to blend to my face color. The mask is about 2 millimeters thick and the mask is dark would it be possible to cover the mask with liquid latex and put some type of face make-up to match color of my skin. Basically I want to blend everything into a solid piece.
Two questions....1. About the powder notes...just powder your skin and put the latex over it? And 2. Any advice about removal? Soap? Or you mentioned cold cream...Is it difficult to remove? I don't want to create an awesome zombie and not be able to get back to normal before work in the morning! Great vid...thanks!
@SAMEASTHEM Powder afterwards, as the latex can look shiny otherwise. And typically the latex will peel right off in chunks. Then you can wash off any bits that didn't peel off.
hey, i just bought about 30 bottles of Mold Builder, and i was reading the container and it said it contained Ammonia (100% to be exact), and that it was dangerous to use on skin, and now im highly disapointed, because This is the only stuff i can find, and i dont have enough time to order it online. All i want to know is if this stuff is dangerous to inhale or to use on skin.
@david500o9 I don't know what Mold Builder is, but liquid latex like the stuff shown in the video is skin-safe as long as you don't have a latex allergy. That said, it does have a lot of ammonia in it, so it can irritate and dry out the skin, and you should use it in a well-ventilated area.
can you make a mold with liquid latex from other latex based material? For example, applying liquid latex onto an inflated balloon or even better inflated condom? Would the lubricant from the condom help them separate after it dries?
I have one fairly deep acne scar on my face and was wondering if liquid latex could help soften it if done correctly?

I just bought some and have no idea what to do with it XD Thank you!
...But I also heard that if it gets in the wrinkles (I think...) of your skin (Like, on the face) it could take surgery to get it off?

@eggboi I know liquid latex can be used to make things like that, but I've never done it. Buy/beg/borrow a little bit and try it!

when its fully dry will it peel like if u use it to make a very thick object? extra finger somthing like that
thomasmclake 2 years ago
I'm not sure, really, though liquid latex can be used to make large things like that and other prosthetics. I never have though.
