Been in this region in 2009 with my parants. :) (close to the small town Daglan). It was a wonderfull vacation! If you like medieval towns, castles and the overall Southern France culture, than you should really check out Dordogne!

Great place! I was in Beynac in 1980. In a campground my tent was about 10 feet from the Dordogne. I emerged in the morning to look up at the castle. Across from the Dordogne is Chateau Fayrac, a beautiful castle, but closed to the public; it's private. It can be seen from the Beynac Castle.
