I was wondering. The Rebels only had 30 ships while the death star would have thousands of Tie fighters. Why did the empire send only a few handful of fighters?

What I think is that the Remastered makes this movie generally way better, but it does need a few improvements. The bar shooting between Han and Greedo was way better than the older version, with Han's surprise shot and all. Then, here in this scene, Luke meets his childhood friend Biggs again, but there's only one hint in the entire movie that they have known each other before. The deleted scene where Biggs says his goodbyes to Luke on Tatooine should have been brought in, too.
Listen to what Luke says in A New Hope, 'Biggs is right, I'm never gonna get outta here. Shortly after he says to Beru & Owen, 'that's what you said when Biggs & Tank left'... but yeah that Biggs scene on Tatooine is awesome and makes Biggs' death scene that bit more potent. Can't wait to see if he puts it in the Blu Ray version. Love the end scene in Jedi where Luke & Wedge shake hands and have a quick hug!

Elitists seem to say that the prequel ship battles fail in comparison to the ones in the original. While I'm not a prequel hater (I love them as much as the original), I account that statement to the different setting.
I/II/III had the Jedi as the focus, so lightsaber battles were the focus. IV/V/VI had the Rebels VS Empire that was the focus, so ship battles were the focus.

6:58 TIES just have the most epic sound of all time! There is nothing like it and it's not even possible to define the sound! And also, if your flying through some random debris field all alone and then you start hearing this sound, you KNOW what's lurking nearby.

@morval99 IMHO this whole sequence is about a young boy coming to grips with his homosexuality, Luke is confused, he doesn't know whether he should do like everyone else and use his targeting sensor(in other words all of his friends are straight and he's worried what they'll think of him) or to go with his instinct, but eventually he gives in and "trusts his feelings" and even becomes independent of other people's thoughts (notice how pretty much everyone of his squadmates die?)

@morval99 IMHO this whole sequence is about a young boy coming to grips with his homosexuality, Luke is confused, he doesn't know whether he should do like everyone else and use his targeting sensor(in other words all of his friends are straight and he's worried what they'll think of him) or to go with his instinct, but eventually he gives in and "trusts his feelings" and even becomes independent of other people's thoughts (notice how pretty much everyone of his squadmates die?)

@musicboy311 Well whether or not you have anything against what other people have to say whenever they see this clip of cinema on the web where we are all free to speak WHATS ON OUR MINDS TOO, regardless of how many times we've seen it and what they think of when they see it, that's your problem. If you want to watch it without anyone else's opinion, then watch it on TV in the privacy of your own home. And i love Star Wars, just because i referenced Star Fox doesn't mean i'm denouncing Star Wars

@helljumpr5150 I know, it's just that there are certain things that do and do not go well with star wars. Like for instance, Family Guy. Now see, if you made a reference to a Family Guy Star Wars that MIGHT have actually been a well paired thought! I mean, when you think about it; doesn't Family Guy coincide better with Star Wars than Star Fox? But ok, specifically- when did you think "Do a barrel roll!" when you saw this clip? Because I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.
