hey, I've been using my axiom 25 for a while now, been great and trying different programs with it. any suggestions on a program you find works best with it?
@hopelessrockaddict Hey, do you know if you can hook up the axiom 25 to M-Audio's torq and use the midi keys and knobs to control torq's effects and trigger it's samples?
LOL, im not one to agree with stupid fucking nonsensical coments, but this video isnt helpful, and it seemed like you bought it as a portable keybed. You said best you could find, but you stated that you werent even using most of the features. Do you know the programing extent of this board?
I suggest if you do not, please do, you will actually USE what you just bought as a flashy toy, with you-know-who's money. (i apologize in advance for my assumptions and attitude, but thats what i think) -Keys.
If you connect it directly via USB to a Laptop, has it nearly Zero Latency or do i need something like an extern soundcard to get Zero Latency? I am using Reason too and want to know if i can load Sounds on the Trigger Pads with Reason? Thx for some advice
i have a video of me playing axiom 25 with reason. I dont know about the latency thing cuz i got m-audio revo 7.1 sound card but i think its zero latency with an inboard card.
Yep, you need an extern soundcard to get zero latency. I have the Axiom 49 and I have latency, I already got a Digidesign M-Box 2 Mini, but no monitors so I can't connect. You need monitors for a extern soundcard if you want zero latency.
They were a bit stiff for me but that faded quickly. I only noticed it in the pads because some had a little more..."give" than others after a while..
Its straight tho, its fresh rubber dude you can break it in.
think its a midi keyboard, so i think theres no build in sounds, u have to connect it to something else Via Midi Cable. ie.Reason,Fruity Loops,Pro Tools
I purchased the M-Audio Axiom last week and when using it in Reason 4.0 it seems as if there is a delay to some extent. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I need help! Otherwise, it's something every serious musician should have.
LOL you dont have to buy anything, theres tons of free soundcard drivers for music(asio) google that. after that, you need to reduce your latency(lower your buffer size)
you might get away with better drivers but i had to get a better soundcard, m-audio delta 24/96 would be good choice for a beginner if your asio drivers dont fix it
fruity loops and reason are both good and they can both do the same thing.
fl is good becouse they thought of people who wanted to make beat sfor the first time so they made the programe much easyer to work with and you can export your work to wav or mp3.
picked up the axiom 25 last week still figuring it out though i found its a fuck load easier to use and set up with fl studio then ableton keep up the good shit mdl your a crazy cunt one day youle be a billionare
Is It possible 2 hook dis up with a mpc. even though the axiom is a controller. Like can u save limited sounds in it, but wire it up 2 the mpc and play sounds on it into the mpc?
I had my Axiom 25 for close to a year and I absolutely love it. I use the pads just like a MPC. In Reason 4.0 (or n e other ver of Reason) if you turn the polyphony all the way down and bring the sustain all the way up (on Dr. Rex) it emulates a MPC by cutting off one piece of a sample when you trigger another pad. So you hit pad # 1, a piece of a sample plays until you hit pad # 2 & so on. You can cut off another triggered sample that way @ n e point.
Yup. Feels amazing. Much closer to a real piano than those damn popsicle sticks most synths come with. The weight makes it easier to control velocity. Plus the keys are relatively quiet.
Maybe if he doesn't even know the name he shouldn't even continue trying? =P HeHe, j/k. You're probably right. I'm sure it's easy to confuse, especially if you're just startin' music. =)
i got an axiom but i tried to do the beat in fl studio, but i cant save the beat.like ill do a snare layer but i cant save it though so i can do a bass layer.get at me with the program.and also how you save each layer of the beat so you can keep stacking drums and other sounds to it.
I'm a professional musician and I bought the Axiom 25 because I have no space for a full size keyboard. You are not expected to do gigs with this one but it is a great product for music production with the weighted keys.
Looks like a cool Board! I'm working with M-audio oxygen 8. It's pretty tight! The best feature is the built in sound card, and 2 mic inputs. perfect for the mobile producer. That Axiom would really look good with my setup. my midi keyboard is the only thing not black in my set up!

i wish ivory wasn't outlawed, then they could make midi keyboards/keys with exact replicated realism just like a real piano.
you can't deny it, you KNOW that would be cool.
