@wattosacrim I believe the "SAPP" application can help you with that. I'm not quite sure how exactly to setup the game in that matter but I'm sure it has something to do with SAPP.

@Sonyui The software I uploaded to Mediafire is for Halo 1.08. Also don't open up Halo then the Dedicated Server. Open the server FIRST then open up Halo.

@JOE97985 It's possible that your version of the game doesn't match the dedicated server software. The software I uploaded to Mediafire is for Halo 1.08. Maybe you updated your game to 1.09 which is why the server won't show. Just get a dedicated software that matches your game's version. So if your game is version 1.09 or 1.07, try looking for something like "haloceded.exe 1.09" (or 1.07). I'm sure you can find it at hce(dot)halomaps(dot)org

@GuvenMukremin Yea you should be able to join your own dedi after you changed the ports just like I did in the video. I changed the ports to 3000 & 3001, started up the server, then went to look for it and joined in.

I have a question. In the main server list shows in my server (witch works well for me) no ping. What is that supposed to mean? I tried to play with my friend on simple hosted game once and both me and him created but none of us could join to others server. Is this problem solveable? (no ping disturbance while playing like torrents etc...)

@opensourcefist Ping is simply the "lag/connection" between you and the server. If it's low your computer is close to the server (no lag), if it's high then it's the total opposite. For example, have you ever been in a "Mexico" server (I'm sure you have in Halo CE) and checked the ping. It's probably high because the server is in another country (that is if you are not in Mexico). Make sure your ports are changed. For example when he joins you, you changed your but he has his original ports.

@MrDarthvader011 The haloceded.exe program doesn't ask for a key so I suppose you do not need a key. I didn't have one and as we can see in the video I was able to create and join my dedicated server.

How do you use custom maps for your servers? Like i wanna make mine a grunt war. And i have the map with grunts on it. BTW for some reason when i press Join Game on any Halo CE server it loads and then says "Unable to Connect to Server!"

sv_motd motd.txt

Save and close

then make a txt file called motd in halo, then have 4 lines, that is your server message.

i have made a succesful dedi server but it only plays normal maps like bloodgulch , danger canyon etc. how do i put a custom map in the mapcycle i have them in the maps folder but shud i move or copy them somewhere ?? please respond

no, keep them in your original maps folder

are you sure you are typing every character of the map file for example if it include underscores "_" make sure to include them in the init file
