I was the second chair tuba. this was one of my favorites from this year.

I have to say i did not like this song at first lol but after a while it grew on me. Out of all three years of All-State band this was the best year to me !!!

@luke55698 haha! I thought so! I still use that concert E as a reference pitch to this day.... I can't just hum out any pitch and be right on, but I have that first E down, dangit! lol

@pyrioni The US does have uniform for each school but since almost everybody in this band is from different schools, they don't all have the same uniform. And on some occasions, girls can where any black dress but not in my school.

So i'm totally convinced this is the best version of "Symphonies of Gaia" on YouTube. Nice job, you guys. For what you might call "small school bands," you all were killer.

@sethsnack yeah this one prolly not... Although my parents were sitting on the other side closer to the tubas and the recording they have sounds a bit different, but when I get the CD recording ill put it up right away :)

True. Low brass was much louder than they seem in this recording. My parents were over by that side and said we were hurting their ears in a few parts... don't know if that's good or not.
