Very interesting - she really does her own thing! Not sure if it's correct though.. Who is she and who is the orchestra... I have a little version of this too that I sang, looks like I've got to go really much more over the top..

she is taking some liberties,

however that is what richard Strauss wanted...

You may have a point.

After all, this is the same Richard Strauss who composed Also Sprach Zarathustra and Ein Heldenleben.

So what might be "over the top" for Felix Mendelssohn's Auf Flugeln des Gesanges" isn't necessarily so for Zueignung.

I kind of like the "bombast." Too bad the first two-thirds of the song is missing.
