@TheBlackAbyss i didnt hear the album , so i based my opinion on what i saw here. i DO create music and play baglama, tar, santur, and doumbek, and i can tell you, he is just playing random notes with no real mid eastern technique or mode, just notes that sound kinda mid eastern cuz of the instrument. Im no Ustad yet, but im working towards it. I still think melechesh rocks, but lets be honest, hes a metal musician i.e. only good at making metal songs, observe friend......... watch?v=XxxXqfsNgW0

The band originated in Israel, then moved to Amsterdam while Dutch is a good guess, they very mostly are not.

The band members now are Armenian (Ashmedi - Vocals), Assyrian (Moloch - Guitars/buzuq), and Dutch (Xul - Drummer); the girl is not a "band" member.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ashmedi spoke Arabic, the strong accent is evident.

Also the Middle Eastern influence is beyond and influence in the music, it is the style.

Oh and nobody in the entire video spoke anything other than English.
