Worst CFB Championship game I've ever seen. What a dud. CFB is now kind of like professional wrestling, except the title match is not even entertaining.

All these people with their "didn't win their division or conference" argument have short memories. What about Nebraska and Oklahoma? They didn't win their division or conference (respectively) and still played for the NC. I didn't hear nearly as much bitching and moaning in those cases. And I also don't understand how a loss to an unranked 30 pt underdog is a better loss than a loss in OT to a number 1 team. Double standards and hypocrisy, I swear. People just hate 'Bama, Saban, and the SEC.
@angrykoolaidman If you look at the season, it's more than that, other teams had a chance to play LSU for the nat title, but all lost, Ok St, Boise St., Stanford, all had their chance so can't blame Bama for being in same division, they've been most dominant program last few years. People are more annoyed it was an all SEC title game. This damn plus one better happen soon. It's much easier to determine and argue about who should be number 4, than who deservers number 2. That would solve it IMO
@angrykoolaidman That's true. Had Ok. St's only loss been to an undefeated #1 team and Alabama's to a Kentucky or Vanderbilt then Okl. St. fans would have used the same argument for their team like any other teams fans would have. The haters think that it's unfair that Bama's back on top again because of the success in the 60's and 70's under Coach Bryant. They think that Alabama has had their glory days and that it's not fair that they are once again competing for Championships.
LSU got dominated in both games, Alabama was the best team all along. Both of LSU's QB's frickin sucked. AJ was working w/ a bunch of fat tight ends, much like Andrew Luck he had not one NFL receiver. Haters get clue. 14 time national champions.
SEC fans, you have great defenses, but your quarterbacks suck, though i think McCarron will be much improved next year. Looking at tape, Stanford with their elite offensive line and Andrew Luck, would have given Alabama a better game than impotent LSU, damn we needed a plus one, at least for some excitement. Saban and Alabama is looking to be an almost unbeatable match. But remember, conf strength is cyclical and is driven more by coaching than anything. SEC has best coaches in CFB.
@TheAngeltoDemon You are not very smart when it comes to ncaa football. The quarterbacks in the Pac and Big 12 look better than what they are because of the defenses they face ! Same with QBs in SEC , they appear slower because of the fastest defenses in the country and they do have good coaches BUT---the overall talent is superior !

@TheBgaddy Getting a good quarterback in the NFL is difficult let alone Ncaa football. The SEC dominates in a particularly meaningful category, Defensive Line, but it is a shame we didn't get to see great quarterbacks against LSU/Bama in the form of Okst/Baylor/Standford.
A.J. McArron is a great QB, and has a chance to put an elite status beside his name this upcoming season, he's one of the best in the SEC, and please don't say the SEC doesn't have QBs, I think we just had one win the Super Bowl.
@SureFireDistrict I just mean in the last year only, SEC didn't have a premier quarterback. For the argument that the defenses are so good, that is BS, because the WRs are also excellent. If you put RG3 or Luck on ALA or LSU's teams, he would have set all kinds of passing records. AJ has a shot next year to be good, he's got a nice arm and alot of confidence i'm sure after winning the big one, but if he was that good, they would have thrown it mroe this past year.

auburn is going to be very good next year. i think with zeke pike at the spear tip they will be a force to be reconed with. it'll be an interesting year but i dont see how anybody can stand up to alabama right now. they proved that they are not only better than every other team i the nation, they are 10x better. saban is now a legend because of this victory.
The voters should re-vote for the Thorpe and Bednarik award, because Mathieu got abused in this game. If he's the best DB in America, then no one watched any game outside of Louisiana. This guy can't cover a candy bar with a paper sack.

@reviseyourdemise With a Defense that good you do not need an elite Offense. Until Stanford's Coaching staff get's it through their thick sculls that it takes more than a great offense to win a BCS Championship, then Stanford will never win one. FYI, Stanford sure as hell is not as good as Alabama.

Beat Oregon on a neutral field, beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, won on the road against West Virginia, won the SEC Championship, and then they are forced to play conference rival Alabama again. That's a real screw job that LSU received. THat's a seriously raw deal having to play a rematch against a conference rival. The whole mindset is different when you play a conference rival. LSU earned the right to represent the SEC in the BCS Championship and play a team from another conference.

The better team showed up in both gms.In the two games between them I think Bama was the better team. 1st game Bama just gave LSU the win. I love the BAMA gameplan.. throw on 1st down.. and which LSU corner do they choose to throw against? Arguably their BEST defensive player - the "honey badger", who they promptly burned..repeatedly. Our back up receiver torched him... Admittedly I don't know if even a healthy Maze could've climbed up like Norwood did and caught the high ones OVER #7.. So maybe losing Maze was a blessing in disguise - don't know. I am proud of AJ and what a great leader the young man has become. Air BAMA?
as an LSU fan, Im pissed about the whole thing, considering that in the 1st matchup their kicker could barly make a field goal and come back and thay make 5 in 1 game, and we couldnt even cross the 50 yard line. The fact of the matter is, that while LSU just sat around with pride after Georgia, Alabama was at home, practicing hard, and practicing and hard work make the difference, so even though im an LSU fan, Alabama deserved to win the game
@Hammy12Edgar Just so you know, Alabama has 2 kickers. The one that missed 4 FGs was Cade Foster, the "long range" kicker (I know, it's funny as hell). The kicker that kicked the FGs in the NC was Jeremy Shelly, the "short range" kicker.
There's a reason that Saban made sure that all of Bama's FGs were no more than 42 yards away; God forbid that Cade Foster kick another FG.
Also they took #17 out of the game by never throwing it to his receiver. Honey Badger had great coverage on man on man, just perfect throws my McCaron (don't know how to spell his name). It was a clown vs a work-aholic. Saben gameplan was perfect. Keeping LSU's play makers out of the game. I give Saben 90% of the credit and Les Miles 90% of the blame. LSU's got alot of talent back thought, if they can get pass the fact they got a horrible coach that will have most BCS championships next year.

No gameplay what so ever vs Alabama. All Les Miles was saying is "we're glad to be here". It was total chaos before the game and at halftime for LSU. All the players fighting and shit shows no control from the coaching standpoint. Running the ball on 3rd down and 12. I've never seen such horrible play calls all my life.

All these people with their "didn't win their division or conference" argument have short memories. What about Nebraska and Oklahoma? They didn't win their division or conference (respectively) and still played for the NC. I didn't hear nearly as much bitching and moaning in those cases. And I also don't understand how a loss to an unranked 30 pt underdog is a better loss than a loss in OT to a number 1 team. Double standards and hypocrisy, I swear. People just hate 'Bama, Saban, and the SEC.

@angrykoolaidman If you look at the season, it's more than that, other teams had a chance to play LSU for the nat title, but all lost, Ok St, Boise St., Stanford, all had their chance so can't blame Bama for being in same division, they've been most dominant program last few years. People are more annoyed it was an all SEC title game. This damn plus one better happen soon. It's much easier to determine and argue about who should be number 4, than who deservers number 2. That would solve it IMO

St. fans would have used the same argument for their team like any other teams fans would have. SEC fans, you have great defenses, but your quarterbacks suck, though i think McCarron will be much improved next year. Looking at tape, Stanford with their elite offensive line and Andrew Luck, would have given Alabama a better game than impotent LSU, damn we needed a plus one, at least for some excitement. Saban and Alabama is looking to be an almost unbeatable match. But remember, conf strength is cyclical and is driven more by coaching than anything. SEC has best coaches in CFB.

If you put RG3 or Luck on ALA or LSU's teams, he would have set all kinds of passing records. Beat Oregon on a neutral field, beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, won on the road against West Virginia, won the SEC Championship, and then they are forced to play conference rival Alabama again. That's a real screw job that LSU received. THat's a seriously raw deal having to play a rematch against a conference rival. The whole mindset is different when you play a conference rival. haha very simple: Whoever has the higher score- is the better team. Bama should never have gotten a 2nd shot. LSU knew that. When you have two very good teams-Team A and B- it is very hard to ask either side to beat the other twice when everything is on the line. Both teams knew that the first game meant everything and went all out. LSU won. The second game-LSU still didn't have a quarterback-and lost. Everyone should know that the losing side can always say, "we should have gotten that third down pass, that would change everything" or "that ref screwed us on that one call" or "that one injury to that o-linemen meant that..." blah blah blah. How about we keep score to determine who the better team is.

@Pungent543 A lot of time score doesn't say who's better. Look at the Bama Ga Souther game look at Auburn South carolina game. Score only chooses who win. Only win % and records tell who's better. Forget about stats and numbers. You're so wrong.

@wow1234579 That question is out of the picture. LSU could've played Oregon, Wisconsin, Arky, UGA, Boise, South Carolina. That still won't make or break LSU if it comes down to another team to see who is better. Outside of Bama and LSU it doesn't matter who they played. The better team showed up in both gms.In the two games between them I think Bama was the better team. 1st game Bama just gave LSU the win. They didn't earn it. 1/09 LSU really had a home game and still didn't earn it.

I love the BAMA gameplan.. throw on 1st down.. and which LSU corner do they choose to throw against? Arguably their BEST defensive player - the "honey badger", who they promptly burned..repeatedly. Our back up receiver torched him... Admittedly I don't know if even a healthy Maze could've climbed up like Norwood did and caught the high ones OVER #7.. So maybe losing Maze was a blessing in disguise - don't know. I am proud of AJ and what a great leader the young man has become. Air BAMA?

as an LSU fan, Im pissed about the whole thing, considering that in the 1st matchup their kicker could barly make a field goal and come back and thay make 5 in 1 game, and we couldnt even cross the 50 yard line. The fact of the matter is, that while LSU just sat around with pride after Georgia, Alabama was at home, practicing hard, and practicing and hard work make the difference, so even though im an LSU fan, Alabama deserved to win the game

@Hammy12Edgar Just so you know, Alabama has 2 kickers. The one that missed 4 FGs was Cade Foster, the "long range" kicker (I know, it's funny as hell). The kicker that kicked the FGs in the NC was Jeremy Shelly, the "short range" kicker.
There's a reason that Saban made sure that all of Bama's FGs were no more than 42 yards away; God forbid that Cade Foster kick another FG.
Either way, they'll both be gone next season.

Also they took #17 out of the game by never throwing it to his receiver. Honey Badger had great coverage on man on man, just perfect throws my McCaron (don't know how to spell his name). It was a clown vs a work-aholic. Saben gameplan was perfect. Keeping LSU's play makers out of the game. I give Saben 90% of the credit and Les Miles 90% of the blame. LSU's got alot of talent back thought, if they can get pass the fact they got a horrible coach that will have most BCS championships next year.

@cameron25ism What you gotta realize man, most LSU fans hate Les Miles. He's the biggest dumbass i've ever seen and one of the worst coaches in D1 college football. No gameplay what so ever vs Alabama. All Les Miles was saying is "we're glad to be here". It was total chaos before the game and at halftime for LSU. All the players fighting and shit shows no control from the coaching standpoint. Running the ball on 3rd down and 12. I've never seen such horrible play calls all my life.
