@BigMac5015 Glad Spielberg changed Quint's demise-the Ahab death to make a modern comparison has that stupid remake vibe going on, but I dunno, still have to read the book. I remember them saying they were going to shoot Hooper's death but ended up keeping him alive-I'll post further details if I come across this info again, was most likely on the DVD
@IantheLiberal It was on the 2 hour special feature bonus disc on the 30th aniversary dvd version, and yea you should read the book, I loved it. In the book though they had Vaughan deal with mafia affairs and Helen and Hooper have a real affair :P but yea Spielberg took all the stuff that wasnt about the shark out of the script because he really wanted to focus on that and not make it boring or 4 hours long
