  • Carl really isnt Fair. they way he can just keep comboing like that.

  • @slothu but he only has 9.5k hpand needs nirvana to do half decent damage

  • @slothu Yeah because Carl is totally easy to play :/

  • @slothu

are you serious ? he is probably one of the most difficult characters to play. and by himself he is not very good at all. you have to use nirvana A LOT to make him good. and even then its a lot more difficult than most characters.

  • Playing Carl is a pain in the ass. At higher levels of play people will know what kind of setup he is planning, so they'll tried to avoid it. A Carl player pretty much must FORCE the opponent into his setups

  • yeah this game kinda sucks.. once the other player get low on health he starts hurting a town 70% life off of 5 hits? come on now.

  • that was awesome by both guyz

    dio u were badass

    so was the hakumen guy

  • damn, talk about rape. that second round was crazy.

carl is very hard to master. the only thing i managed with him is a decent 7 hit. he takes a lot of time to master.

  • I love watching Hakumen wall rape, makes me laugh so much:

"HUR R DUGH HIRR ARRHH HUR!"

  • just by the style, I can tell it's buppa who's playing the haku.

  • I'm guessing 0 is playing him Buppa uses a different color

  • These guys make me realize how terrible I am at fighting games.

  • Implying Haku takes the any amout of skill or practice?

  • Well he does when the player(me) is an absolute fail when it comes to blazblue.

  • Not everyone can claim to have your skill.

  • Hakumen does take skill and practice. He needs to be able to IB most attacks to build meter and escape pressure since he is so defense oriented. He is physically retarded on the ground with how bad his ground mobility is. He has a terrible mix-up game, with his overheads taking 3 magatama and usually not even working on a decent player unless you use 2147C, which won't even net much damage. Hakumen has to have mastery of so much fundamentals that he takes more skill than you'd think, genious.

  • Whoa. Two VERY skilled players beating the crap out of each other....HELL FUCKING YES!

  • 1:27 Just wtf

  • What makes you think the Hakumen player is "light years" behind DIO?

  • that hakumen is bad at all, the thing he is that he is just too slow of a character to espcape carls two man wall

  • they are both skilled, but Hakumen is a good match up against Carl since his attacks can take down Nirvana's life fast and deal alot of damage to Carl who already has very low life, and also Hakumen is the only one that can escape the clap loop thanks to his Drive

  • Rachel, Ragna and Carl can escape the loop as well. There was a vid showing that it's possible for Arakune, Tao, Noel and Litchi to escape as well, but I'm not sure if all the methods are fullproof.

  • *girlish voice* Yamette! XD

    (Stop it!)

    then suddenly...

    *manly voice*

    Amakumiraretta mou!

    (Don't take me lightly!)

I'd admit, I like Carl's voice best. Gii's being the second. XD

  • Hakumen isnt half bad when he lures Carl INTO HIM. however, he has a tendency to rush in and get cornered.

  • Not sure if the Carl player is THAT good or if the hakumen player was just bad at avoiding his combos.

  • I find it kind of odd that Carl's rated tier is so low, yet I see him win more matches than he loses almost all the time because of the merry-go-round loop combos he has.

  • Its the strategy of Carl that's so hard for some to get. So its rare to find good Carl players I can think of 3. His comboes are hard to get out of cause Aerial Recovery doesn't cut it. And using your barrier gauge means trouble if its used at the wrong time.

  • Then again, Dio is the only one that could win consistently and with strong leads. Everyone else that plays him usually just get by barely or have harder times setting up.

  • it's probably going to raise a lot once people master him. the only thing is i hear carl has the hardest learning curb from the rest of the cast, which can make it difficult for a lot of people to get good with him.

  • yeah, people aren't simply going to learn him because hes so hard to master. I mean, look at how amazingly hard DIO has to work for his damage. I bet hes having a lot of fun, but that 3rd round had to be frustrating. DIO had in down to barely any health, and then Hakumen gets in like 1 combo and is caught up. DIO still won, but thats gotta be demoralizing. I can see the Japanese taking time to learn Carl, but us americans are simply too lazy to learn a character like that

  • I didn't even realize it was Dio until I saw the gold costume. Guess that's his signature. I can't say Hakuman looks like my kind of character...he's strong, but eh he looks slow and too easy to punish.

  • Hot damn Hakumen hits like a truck

  • seriously, two hits from him took around 20% on carls health.

  • Point made, but thats a little exaggerated.

  • not at all. look at 2:35, those two hits easily took 20% minimum.

  • Jesus, Hakumen, don't get between Karl and his robot.

  • That's practically an impossibility, given Carl's ability to transport Nirvana (his robot) to where ever he's located in a split-second, the fact that Nirvana can be used as a giant shield & blockade, and that Carl tends to hide behind it almost all the time.

Not to mention Hakumen's low mobility...

  • now... that's cheap.

  • Not really "cheap", Carl overall strategy is to get players trap between him and his robot. Takes alot of skills to set it up, and then turn it into big damage.

  • carl is a high skill, high reward character simple
