  • Nice chest

  • if you have neak pain it could have many causes, some of which may be agrivated by these sorts of exersises. motor retraining exersises and streching is probably a better course of action for most

  • if we put weight on our head while doing the side to side exercise will it perform muscle. for example if we race cars will it be able help keep my head upright during high g force corners.

  • I am now exercising my wrist......

  • She's pretty attractive...:D

  • A lot of people neglect training the muscles in there neck. Especially these people who work on the CPU all day.

  • shes pretty hot ;)

  • What if your neck is slightly tilted to one side? Meaning your head and neck do not align...

  • i have that song i forget what it is

  • i love ur face

  • wow.. there's no way i could do these with my neck.. your neck must be in really good condition

  • @lukeism2

Does it get fatigued or is there pain?

  • @spencerbaron121 i have a bulging disc.. spasms and shit.. my neck stretches and exercises aren't anywhere near this level

  • @lukeism2

Pain will limit you, yet training within the "non-painful" ranges can still be acheived.

Have you consulted with a healthcare provider?

  • @lukeism2

I got a video that you can watch on my vimeo site, but you tube won't let me forward it to you.

Go to Vimeo.com, look up Spencer Baron and you will find a video titled: "Headache and neck pain - 3 minutes to relief"

It will help ease the pain of your disc injury.'

  • @lukeism2 just do it stop being lazy

  • They are a simple challenge. Start with just one or two repetitions and anticipate the conditioning of the neck to improve. If you can't do them because of weakness and fatigue, then you must do them (as long as there isn't pain).

  • That's synchronous, I hit upon this exercise myself before seeing it on here. This is an exercise I made up myself. And it's effective

  • fantastic, this should be a youtube sensation.

  • ( . Y . )

  • Thnx veri useful

  • she is hot... defo a milf... cougar?... or whatever the term is nowdays?

  • she looks cute anyways.. probs a milf... cougar... or whatever the term is nowdays?

  • I tend to agree to bisesik that this exercise is not suitable for those who seek remedy for neck pain, people like me. I get the shivers just by looking at it, let alone trying to do it.

  • A painful neck would likely be aggravated by those exercises. Good sports exercises for non-symptomatic neck, but for a painful neck one should only strengthen the neck retractors and extensors, and include scapular region. Not flexion or sidebending.

  • @bisesik

You are providing gravely inaccurate information.

Sorry, but please be more careful about misleading the public.

    Thank you.

  • These are not the ideal exercises for the neck at all. The neck flexors (and protractors) should rarely be exercised, as well as the sidebending exercise.

  • @bisesik

I wish you had referenced the literature on cervical spine conditioning prior to your comments on lateral flexion strengthening ... these, and rotational movements, are most important to cervical stability.

  • exellent video and advice. I would recomend to slow down tese exercises to give yor body the time to tune in. This would be the way to fee and arrange correction exactly in the place of your neck where it is necessary. Than youSB121

  • dam....you are sexy.

  • beautiful young lady

  • stiffness in my neck moves down my pants!

  • Yumm...I mean, great demonstration!

  • This won't hurt your neck?

  • @yepyepok

Sure, this can hurt your neck, but so can sitting at a computer with poor posture.

One must be careful, cautious and prudent with even the most non-aggressive exercises they take on. I've seen people get injured bending over to pick five pounds off the floor.

Then again, doing nothing is the worst thing you can do : )

  • what about clam neck excercises ??

  • Hm,I was trying to be focused on the exercises :) ......nice lady ;)

  • yes lord

  • I'm only exercising my eyeballs.

  • @shieldsit lmao

  • i can do this with 10 pounds for about 14 reps ive bin working on it for 6 months

  • will these exercises cause vertigo and dizziness?

  • They could, as I suggest you do them slowly to see where your threshold is at.

  • doe this exercise cut fat under your chin?

  • what would you think now?

  • Not quite, but it will tone all the muscles around the neck and help you stand straighter, thus preventing the wrinkle that occurs in the front of your neck from slouching.

  • Sit ups are also useful, aren't they?

As I do a lot of sit ups and getting tired at the end I feel I have to struggle even with my neck muscles.

  • Yes, they are useful for only the front of the neck muscles. It you are struggling at the end, that is a sure sign that you need to condition your muscles more, therefore the above exercises are a good start.

  • I think this could really work. Are these exercises medically acceptable for cervical problems?

  • Yes, yet it is contingent on the extent of the cervial problem.

More importantly, theses exercises are a proactive approach to injury prevention.

  • done without the direction of a qualified therapist those exercises could make your pain worse not better.Theyd have to be assessed before exercise prescription.Often postural problems in the neck are related to deficiencies in timing or activation of the deeper flexors and extensors and not the more phasic muscles.Cute lady though.

  • Not necessarily, these are low risk movements, thus having a "qualified therapist" present would be cost ineffective. Postural problems are often a result of lack of motivation to simplly stregthening spine extensors (muscles at the back of the neck). It doesn't need to be a complicated issue.

  • the problem is that without assessment you wouldnt know whether or not its more complicated than weak cervical extensors.Posture is never an issue of just strength by the way,its muscle activation and endurance which are far more imortant.Same thing with posture in the low back and thoracic spine. You arent a physical therapist are you?

  • No, not a physical therapist, just a doctor.

The public does not need an assessment for such a low risk, low liability movement - pain will be your guide.

Never say "never," as that renders your quasi-astute statement as unbelievable and implausible. I will say, technically, you are correct with regards to "endurance," yet for the lay public, I chose "strength" as the appropriate nomenclature.

  • they wouldnt need assessing if they hadnt a problem, but many with problems will see the vid and try the exercises if you dont advise seeing a therapist first.Increasing strength of a given muscle doesnt change resting joint position by the way so it wont change posture.Research has repeatedly failed to show improvement. Id like to see your reasoning to the contrary.

  • Muscular tone does change joint proximity at rest, this is a basic function of joint stability.

More importantly, is the ability to consciously maintain posture - a function of mindset and conditioning. The literature is replete with this physiological phenomenon. I do not have time to cut and past web links, but strongly suggest you review some of the credible, refereed journals dedicated to sports injuries and rehab.
