This is the version with Amy Grant on vocals (from her 1992 album "Home For Christmas"). But Natalie Cole recorded it twice - first in 1990 on David Foster's album "River of Love" (which was the very first recorded version of the song) and then again on a remake on her 1999 album "The Magic of Christmas".

What gets me about Christmas is translating to today. Thinnk about this in modern terms: Mary and Joseph traveled from CA to NYC on a bicycle and Jesus was born at the dumpster of a Super 8 with Madam Cleo and a few bums to look on in joy. That i show much He loves us all.
