The best way to help wildlife WHILE helping people is to make them into property. Once upon a time, it was illegal to OWN a bison. Their numbers continued to decrease until land owners were made accountable for bison, and owned the bison that frequented their lands. Now, bison meat is an exploding industry, while bison numbers continue to rise.

The same can be done for many other species, and is currently responsible for the explosion of the Alligator population.
