It's a very satisfying song, but like most times, I'm wondering if some other person came out with this, that didn't have the popularity that Thom Yorke does, if we would still be complimenting it so much. Just like with writing, the name of the person that created it adds a lot to the experience.

I feel ashamed. When we first heard the preview of this song, I really didn't like it because it just felt lazy and boring to me, but now that we have the full version I see that it all comes together and makes perfect sense by the end, sort of like how by the end of cymbal rush all those seemingly random beeps fit together to form a beautiful symphony. Even by Thom's standard I'm impressed.
Thom's glitchy, very vocal take on House Music may just be the finest example of that genre, certainly in the last few years. Props to him for making such an interesting song out of vocal loops and samples of his own songs (Separator, 15 Step, The Eraser, etc.)
I never understand what people expect out of Yorke or any Radiohead related material. It's well known they like to constantly evolve and piss people off by doing so. It's fantastic that a band can continue impressing people and dividing fans after 20 years.
@sayhitotom Thom also played it during a DJ set. In a club setting... You would have to be super drunk or on serious drugs to appreciate this. Or if you had Yorke DJing infront of you that would work too
The brilliant thing about Thom Yorke's music is the 3rd time you listen to something that you didn't get the first time and you're like 'wait a minute... this is fking brilliant!' The world is a more bearable place knowing that someone like Thom Yorke exists. The man's a genius.
@Caesarslegion1 yup. it's all over the place. but might be easiest to hear at 2:38 in 15 step. check it out. i'd post a link but im not able to post links by the person who uploaded this video
