@checkered660 no, an artificial harmonic is when u lightly bar over a fret and strum the string...a pinch harmonic is when ur thumb lightly brushes the string as u strum it...pinch harmonic and artificial harmonic are two different things...both in "tech" name form

@bigbeaner99 actually an artificial harmonic IS a pinch harmonic in short a harmonic thats created artificially.. when you lightly bar over the 5th/7th/12th ect. fret, THATS a natural harmonic.

my friend challenged me to play this in 1 week if i did he would officially call me a guitar god. im 13 and have been playing for 2 years and i practice every day for at the least 1hour and 30mins but this is one of the trickiest things im trying to learn. btw van halen are fucking awesome and great cover!
