The secret speed picking technique

Secret = Get a metronome, practice string skipping, legato, sweep picking and shredding, master outside and inside picking, practice the warm up chromatic scales, try to not to add and tension or struggle while your trying to elevate to the next tempo, and increase the tempo by 5 or 10, depending on what you feel comfortable with. Also practice hitting chords but with up strokes, helps with alternate picking, most importantly PRACTICE EVERYDAY. { Homework comes first though.}

If you want to have that mechanical sound like this, get a metronome, practice three note per string minor scales along with it in various rhythms using alternate picking. You can make huge strides in weeks and months, if you do it right. There's the secret. But, you will sound mechanical like this.

You can do it 2 ways.Slowly and eventually start faster and the other way is pick it up from a fairly fast tempo and clean it up eventually.There are world class guitarist done it both ways but the thing that is in both is work.
