Guys like Zeus, Warlord, Barbarian, even British Bulldog back then were limited to a specific moveset and it all had to do with throws and slams. Anything that had to do with raw brute power, and none of that "sissy" inside cradle bullcrap. That was for the technicians.
Goldberg was very much one of those types, only he was attitude era style.

why would wwe let there two biggest stars at that time lose to two wcw hasbeens. they did the right thing by lettin austin and the rock win. scott hall was a great worker but he was way to unreliable. hogan is just a piece of shit that cant work to save his life

@247xReviews Vince buying WCW had nothing to do with the nWo showing up in WWE. Sure he owns the name, library and trademarks, but Hall, Nash and Hogan had contracts with Turner Sports and not WCW. So Vince couldnt do anything with their contracts. He bought WCW, not Turner Sports. All 3 signed a WWE contract when their Turner Contracts were finished. They knew full well what was going to happen with the nWo when they came in. They were not forced to do anything. They didnt have to sign.

That was the whole point, after Vince bought WCW he gathered all of it's biggest stars (the ones he could) like Booker T, nWo, Scott Steiner and then just slowly brought them to their knees and humbled them in a huge way. You can say Austin or Hogan or whoever has the biggest ego but in the end of the day, McMahon's ego surpasses all of their egos put together. Vince set out to destroy the nWo from day one. The only one he could never destroy is Hogan because Hulkamania will live forever.

If you listen to an interview by Nash they actually weren't supposed to lose any matches at wrestlemania but the word came from mcmahon to change that just a few hours before WM kicked off.

In actuality if they wanted to make some actual money during this nWo push, there should've been a bigger buildup to wrestlemania then this BS one month program.
What would've been a bigger draw? Austin vs. Hall? or Austin vs. Hogan? Too much politicking in the back and ego's getting in the way if you ask me.

Austin was being a baby towards Hall. Hall was suppose to get a win over Austin at Wrestlemania because Hall was gonna get a push. But Austin refused to job to Hall. Austin was originally upset because he wanted the match against Hogan.

@Macca1969 well austin was the biggest superstar around and hall just came back after a 2 year abense from television and during those 2 years(2000 & 2001) austin was bustin his ass off, plus hall just came back to the world wrestling federation so it wouldnt make sense

@Macca1969 Actually, not true. Stone Cold has always been skeptical of a match with Hogan and didnt want the match with Hall either. He was not too fond of either from his time in WCW. Its Hogan and Hall that both wanted matches with Austin. And there was no way Hall was gonna get a push. His prime days with WWF were in the mid 90's.

@williwo If they would have brought Hall back as Razor Ramon he would have easily got way over with the fans. He was in good shape here and he still looked pretty young. A Stone Cold vs Razor Ramon fight would have been great on paper but the match still would have sucked lol.

@Macca1969 True at this point perhaps........But lets say Stone Cold faced Razor in 1996. THAT would have been a great match. Unfortunately Hall left 2 months after Austin debuted. He left just one month before Austin gave his famous 3:16 speech thus beginning his Stone Cold persona. In the couple of months they were in the WWF together in 96, Stone Cold was just the Ringmaster and hadnt taken off yet. They BARELY missed each other in their primes.

Yeah he was. Scott Hall said so in a shoot. Since Scott Hall doesn't care if he jobs or not since he knows people are gonna like him anyways he didn't mind putting Austin over. Trust me, WWE pushing Hall in a good way is great for business. They should have just brought him back as Razor Ramon instead of their lame version of NWO.

Not only that but Austin was selling his knee in this clip as if he stubbed his toe or something. The Rock was a much better seller than Austin. I agree with Macca, Austin's ego was crazy in 2002.

It's jus brutal that Scott Hall 6"7 290, never had any real oppurtunities to be at the top , because of writing and producing. Hall created the most of any wrestler for what he was given to work with. Hall created a legend and superstar out of being given so little. One of the best personalities ever in wrestling. & Halls out in hollywood, Let's get it Scott. you still young main, you in ya prime lifetime... So much potential pushed a side by mediocre writing

and like i've said, Scott Hall still created a superstar and legend out of being given the least to work with. in other words. out of any guy with big time potential, Hall did the most with being given the least, a superstar and a legend out of being given scraps. that amazing. and to boot he is one of the best personalities to ever grace the ring, and he should be so proud out of what he did as far as wrestling and entertaining legacy goes. He was never writen in for a championship.

blackiechan if the script writing wasn't so biased with Vince or Austin, Scott Hall would be able to take Austin in a match or brawl.
It's ridiculous that three men at those sizes would need an awful lot of help from one another to take down Austin.
The thing that pisses me off about a lot of these writers or planners is their bias with one side, especially a face, in a fair match up. It becomes ridiculous when they turn heel and their powers are suddenly zapped.
