  • Great video! Thanks.

  • thanks for the vid, and cool choice of music

  • did you catch any fish with it?

  • @cjellwood I have not caught any fish on any of the lures I have made. This type of fishing lure needs to have a buoyant body to keep it upright in the water. The PETE plastic used in the video is more dense than water so it is not a functional lure. I have also made parts with the same mold out of polypropylene which "swim" better than the lure in the video but they do not dive as deep as I would like. Someday I may go back and refine the design.

  • Nice, i guess. But it's easier to just buy one, unless you need thousands.

  • @Mugrs you must not know what its like to be a man then huh? There is something amazing about doing things yourself. Not to mention, that once you get the injector, he can lathe any shape he wants and make things for free (trash plastics)

  • @ataraxic89 Sure, and you're a real man because you mold your own fishing lures?

I can do other things myself, but I don't have to do everything myself, esp. not fishing lures.

  • Just a thought - if you "unroll" soda bottles, I'm sure they'd go through a cross-cut shredder quite easily. I say this, because it looks like you hand-cut those bottle chips.
