Similar story happened to Lech Walesa who was fighting the communism in Poland. In 1983 he won the Peace Nobel Prize. He was criticized by the communist Polish government; fearing involuntary exile, he remained in Poland while his wife traveled to Norway to accept the prize on his behalf. The communism in Poland collpased and he became the President of free Poland. It will be interesting to see if Liu will become one too....
