Youa are normal, in the mission that you have to play vs metal sonic I got 2800 becouse when you are in te big mountain about 1500, my gas was full, and than it was really easy to take 2800. But you need to now that you have to stay really up when your gas will run out you have to stay in 302 meters, and never take the stylus out, every time up when you are going down.
