  • Your videos are good but gotta be honest, the music is bad and distracting....

  • @ssonic116 MicroSR. It's a micro blade sr

  • So this is like a mini blade 400?

  • Very nice looking heli

  • Lol! I have that same MARINE think fast poster!!!

  • my husband is having a hard time getting this thing in the air, any tips he is very frustrated at this point. thanks

  • @consentida97 left stick for raising it up & steering left or right.........Right stick for Left or right sideways movement & foward or backward........Everything to be done with easy slow /gradual movements on the levers..Also the heli is easier to control if he pushes ( in ) on the right stick untill he sees the Red light on the transmitter flashing..it slows down the acceleration, makes it easier to control for beginners...last thing..This Heli is horrible in even the slightest outside winds

  • @robbie2737 I heard that this heli is almost impossible for a beginner to fly in the RTF version because of the cheap transmitter. Do you know if this is true? I was thinking about buying this model. I've flown coaxials and CP helis in simulations.

  • @HigherPlanes I own Two mSR's..The transmitter that comes with it is Fine, never had any problems at all, infact it's the same trans that comes with the 120SR(RTF)..If you can fly CP like you said,You wont have any trouble with the mSR or the stock trans...However the mSR was just dicontinued...you can now purchase the mSR X It's the up-dated version Happy Flying

  • @robbie2737 I apreciate the quick response. Wow, I didn't know it was discontinued. I saw a few places online that stock them. Will look into the mSR X.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i would live all my life in your shop

  • dragon flys lmao

  • At hobby lobby they are 99 dollars RTF... Not recommended for a first time heli pilot.

  • @Wiiviewsowner, I'd recommend a mCX for a beginner over the mSR. The mSR is much much much more responsive than the mCX due to the single rotor and the lack of counter-rotating blades acting as a gyroscopic stabilizer, and will make it harder for a beginner to learn on. But this is just my two cents.

  • NightFlyyer, I always enjoy checking out your videos. This one is no different. You got me wanting one now! :)

  • What did you do to hook up the blue lighting in the end?

  • if anyone is thinking about getting one of these I HIGHLY recommend it. I'm new to heli's and this thing has been a blast to learn how to fly. The best part is I have literally crashed it into solid objects over 100 times so far (mostly walls, guitars, tv's, full beer cans, etc) and every time I do it I think "I must have broke something" but it keeps flying like a champ time after time. Plus parts are cheap and full aluminum upgrades are available.

  • Where can I gewt one of this heli?

  • @Life1001 A main hobbies or (you really should, especially if they're friendly!) your local hobby store!

  • Im having trouble with mine spinning out of control. the tail rotor is obviously the problem. the little plastic blade spins, so i know it works. I'm just not sure what the problem might be. Any help would be appreciated

  • How did you get so much forward cyclic response? Mine has very little with the swash mod.

  • @nightflyer , which is better: the MSR or the new syma s107 gyrostar? Thanks...

  • Yeah, i'll agree with that at @ 3:08. Mine was completely submerged in water (long story) and i grabbed it, dabbed it with a towel, and took a blowdryer to it for about 3-4 minutes. It lit back up and flew!! I was totally amazed. Although I would not suggest to submerge your heli. It was not purposely done.... trust me lol.

  • Ha... the blade msr... if there's a wonderful toy that can wake the child within you up in no time, well, it's that one. As bushpilot223 said, listen to the guys laugh at 2:48. Besides, a flight also works pretty well to "clear your head" when overburdened by something. Worked for me pretty more efficiently than Yoga, for instance.

  • Gotta love the stupid sound effects!! I wanna hear the helicopter.

  • LOL listen them laughing in the slow-mo replay of the crash at 2:48

  • Hey Dave, are you going to review the new Ultra Micro Mosquito and F4U Corsair from Parkzone?

  • Wish i could fly that good. Just got a 120sr 2 weeks ago. Moving up from the cx. Got it to hover inside, waiting for a calm enough day to try it outside. Unfortionatly waiting for a calm day in the winter can be a long wait.

  • Re- "@ernestryles" comment.

If you're new to heli's then a coaxial is a great starter, it gets you used to flying nose in with out worrying too much about stability. If you get the direction you want to go in wrong; a coaxial will stop going that way nearly as soon as you let go of the sticks where as a single blade heli will keep going 'till it smacks in to your bedroom wall. I think a coaxial is a good starter for a newbie.

  • swashplate mod ?

  • Could i buy the bnf version and bind the reciever that it comes with to my dx6i?

  • I have a msR and a 120SR and i love them both. If one is heli-hunting i would consider the 120 for a more begginer and the msR for an advansed pilot.

  • Sorry, meant to say the 120SR

  • Got the SR a week ago. Tail kept surging to the right every few seconds right out of the box. Tail motor failed completely after 4 days. Probably the weak link in Blade helis. Other than that a pretty good helicopter.

  • that has way more power than the Syma S107 definitely i can tell!

  • my tail motor is fukd on mine.. Didn't take long for it to either.. Great little choppers when they are flying and not breaking down, but they are too intricate and delicate. However i should i spent an extra 250 bucks and got the blade 400 heli, pretty pissed about the MSR.

  • @cgraf83

The tail motor is the weakspot. Other than that it is tougher than you think. I crash mine almost all the time. over 150 flights without only replaced the tail motor once due to a crash. Unless you know how to fly a CP I bet you'll spend more repairing the blade 400. Tail motors are cheap:P

  • @ernestryles this looks like an awesome little heli, as for mcx2, why would anyone want an coaxial when they're trying to get to 6 channel heli's? I think this is great for the switch from biginner to intermediate heli's.. I dont see how the mcx2 heli would help because it has no tail rotor... every 6 channel heli I see has a single rotor. looks like I shoulda got an mcx2 instead of a 3channel coaxial though. got I hate not being able to roll sideways.

  • wow i have watched so many videos with you in them you must be a rc hobby fan. do you buy your rc's or do the rc makers give you products to show on u tube

  • @blainelizzy123 horizon hobbies rep i think :)

  • Hi Everyone, I got the MSR for Christmas and the tail rotor keeps quiting while I'm flying and putting it in to a spin. Has anyone else has the problem and do you know what causes it?

    Thanks

    Happy New Year.

  • @njtl2686 I'm no-where near pro so I can't help you, but happy new year to you too!

  • @shawn2007g Sussed it, its a loose motor wire.

  • Comment removed

  • To onion209: I just started and got the Blade MCX2... AWESOME coaxial copter... I will be moving up to the MSR as you can use the same radio that comes with the MCX2 and can buy just the MSR (BNF) which means bind and fly which means without the radio.. Get the MCX2:) worth every penny fir learning and flying around the house:)

  • what would you recomend to a beginner

  • @onion209 as far as 4 channels go an mcx2

  • when i buy this is K.D 2

  • i was wondering if you may know wht mine is getting the tollet bowle effect. great video. thanks

  • Hi, I have flown this for a day now, and have FULL control of it, and im starting to think that it is almost a little boring. If I change the balls to the longer balls, does that make a HUGE difference?

  • will it go inverted

  • @RCboy221 No, it's only a 4ch, 6ch can go inverted :)

But with a little modding, you can reverse the motor so that i can fly inverted, but then only inverted.

  • is this fun to fly for an wxperienced pilot?

  • @matrobsti Of course it is.

  • @matrobsti for anyone! i have one and it is so fun! especially during night with the glow in the dark and the led

  • wow! you got a LOT a crazy crap on the walls!

  • I went to Hobby Town (Tampa, FL) and they matched manufacturer's website price and I bought a pack of 2 extra batteries (Poweredge 160 mAh) and came out to $160. VERY pleased with the product. It takes damage like no other and flies very precisely.

  • how long flies for?

  • can you review this 4-3Q2 Walkera Micro Brushless Metal Version w/ 2.4GHz 2402 Transmitter ive been thinking about this heli but i have not heard if its good or bad please respond

  • boooom xD

  • Wow!!! Quite expensive! At my local hobby shop. (Archies Hobbies and Helis) it's only $90 for BNF. Hobby Lobby has it for $105 BNF. Hope this helps anyone wanting to get one.

  • Once again thanks for this nice Video-clip,I Think ,I will buy this amazing micro-heli !

  • this bird is great, but easy to burn out the electronics. It will not respond to off throttle and keep turning, burning it out. But one fun bird...learn your basic heli moves on this during the winter.

    Another plus....great customer service.....the best.

  • what is a better beginner plane, mcx2 or msr?

  • I had Honey Bee King 2. I could not fly it for my life. I bought the E Flight Blade mSR today and I was able to fly it right out of the box. Its a great little helicopter and is tons if fun.

  • the Led mod is awsome!!

  • nice flying!!! really nice heli

  • i got my bnf for 129

  • Hi Sir Dave.. I realy love heli's and i love that kind of helicopter its a 4 channel right? owh i love it so much.. how i wonder to have that too.. but sad to say im from Philippines and no heli like that is available here..

  • @jasoncalipon you might want to check out the nine eagles solo pro v1 or v2, there are a lot selling that heli, i am from the philippines and i have one, its pretty much the same, single rotor 4ch and same size as msr. Its cheaper too

  • @jerber300 sorry for the late reply.. but were can i find that shop? can you please tell me the location of that store please?

  • @jasoncalipon thats not a shop its a garage hehe

  • @neuregel yeah i know its a garage.. what i mean is the store where i can buy that kind of helli in the Philippines!!! jawa kaw ajaw sin apil2x sa amo istorya ky wai imo labot!!! y kaw kasabot sa amo topic bulok kaw!!!

  • @jasoncalipon you know I got mine off ebay, i dunno if your interested to go that route.

  • @jerber300 amm.. what if i ask your contact phone # so that i can contact you if i have some questions about heli's.. here is my e-mail add mesmerizeheart@yahoo.com hope we can communicate thanks..

  • you should add wings to an R/C Helicopter or Blimp

  • got one from my uncle as a gift when they first came out have to say i loved it your flying is way more advanced then mine but i would say it is pretty easily operated me being a novice flyer and this is my first real copter besides airhogs

  • could you fly a heli blindfolded? lol......

  • final cut pro

  • This is an AWESOME little heli. I am a novice heli pilot and had tried to hover a blade cp a few times which was really tough to keep steady. The MSR on the other hand was really easy to get a handle on. I have had it maybe 3 weeks and I am already doing forward flight and figure 8's with little trouble. Great for beginners!!

  • This is an AWESOME little heli. I am a novice heli pilot and had flown (or atleast tried to hover) a blade cp which was a real handful. The MSR on the other hand was really easy to get a handle on. I've had it maybe 3 weeks and im already doing forward flight figure 8's. Well worth the $160 i paid for it!!

  • Awesome! I just bought one today but I'm too scared to fly it cause it's my first good heli.

Costs $250 here in Aus too, so I'm a bit nervous of crashing it.

  • where did you get it

  • nice one Bo

  • Cool I didn't know Eric lived near you.

  • Thanks for this great video!

What song is it that is played at the end? (4:10 and on)

  • i like it you did it very well

  • make more vids of the blade msr

  • tried to change ball links and it broke off straight away ,so be carefull the ball links are very weak and break easy when trying to change ,,better leave it ,when it flies well

  • just got the robbe nano arrow ,,is exactly the same heli and comes with a alu case and a radio mode 2 but can be altered to mode one flipping the antenna over ,,not such a nice loader as msr ,but i like the transport case ,,costs a little bit less as msr as well,,really fun indoor flyers the msr or nano arrow

  • This is a really amazing heli, saw it online about 12hrs ago and now I want one!

P.s. Love the mistery science theatre parody at the end

  • ouch ! He flys !

  • thats a ripoff you got there, you can get these in britain for no more than 89 pounds RTF and 70 pounds BNF

  • @ElRhinoProductions i am sure we would all like to know where you can get the msr for 89 pounds!

  • @robertshelis Mainly Planes 'n' Trains, Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom

  • What kind of cam are you using? Good angle, good shooting. Keep up the good work! 5 stars

  • these are almost impossible to put down, i have 4 150mah tenergy packs that yield 10 mins with moderate flying, i love all your vids.

  • can you make a vid on how to bind this to a E-flite LP5DSM im geting the msr and the sr and i will bind the E-flite LP5DSM to the msr so can you plzz

  • @bobisbackinblack2555 the lp5dsm is automaticly in bind mode if you turn on

all switches must turn off and 8 on super easy :)i have the same one have fun

  • name of songs

  • I love these guys :)

  • Damn for 179$? I could build me one good 450 size heli. You guys trying to make a killing aren't you? You guys must have the highest priced msr!

  • @vtran1000 You reckon?

    Try 250...

    Q:)

  • I love my MSR... Im still waiting for my skills to increase a little more before I change my swash over. Even on low settings the thing can REALLY move. Flies great outside IF there is NO wind; rare but fun.

Nice skills in the gym, I cant wait to fly mine like that.

  • My mSR flew really great out of the box.

I'm still learning to fly, so I've had a few prangs with it, and now it won't trim-up or fly any more. I've watched a dozen vids on set-up and calibration and done everything I can so get it all squared up again, but it just fly's erratic-as.

One take off, it will go forward and break up and right - next take off it spins 3 times and banks left and breaks backwards.

Any ideas as to what might be going wrong?

    Cheers,

    Q:)

  • @Quokka57 check the flybar. See if its bent see if the swashplate wobbles. Check the blade grips

  • Yo, Quokka! What's crackin!?! lol Your swashplate is prob coming apart..??..

  • She's right now mate :))

I ended up giving a the pitch linkage 2 turns forward, and now she flys ok again.

It still sags slightly to starboard, so something might still be slightly out of whack.

Interestingly enough, when I'm in a hover, the flybar is usually at a crazy angle to the main blade but that might just be the Gyro "doing it's thang" LoL.

I'm still learning, and every day I pick up something useful.

Love this thing - what a hoot!

    Q:)

  • Something is wrong if your flybar doesn't track, brotha! Inspect and wiggle everything with close attention....are you sure that the swashplate isn't separating? They are a blast!!!

  • I hear ya!

I'll be putting my glasses on and giving it a good eyeball this arvo...

    Q:)

  • Had mine for two days and I cant put it down.

Been flying planes for ten years but never flown a Heli before.

Soooo much fun and very ,very tough.

  • @ cabelyada:

Not likely, the BNF blade msr will only bind to spektrum, JR and E-Flite 2.4 ghz transmitters. The instructions are available online and will tell you more about specific radios.

  • I have a Walkera lama 2 and I want to buy BNF MSR, can my Walkera 4 channel transmitter control the MSR heli? Thank you..

  • This is my next aircraft!

  • I got my MSR 4 weeks ago. I have been cooking around the house with no problems. Outside is a different story. I hit the pavement so hard today that my canopy nose cracked like an egg. I had to use storage tape to get it back together. Amazingly, with 30+ crashes my chopper still hovers without any TBE. This is one tough little bird. She does look a bit beat down though.

  • Great video really enjoyed it! I have had an MCX now for a couple of months and am upgrading tomorrow to the MSR. Can't wait!

  • I bought a porche (Blade 400) first and then saw the video about getting a Volkswagon. So I bought the Bind N Fly MSR. LOVE IT!!!! It's winter so it's way funner to fly indoors right now. That little heli is TOUGH and it's FUN.

  • try turning this into a NOTAR!

it would be the first ever micro hyperfly

  • I really got scared by that BOOOOOOOM when the helicopters crasht into each other

  • wat does the mod stuff do

  • @rcdrivers1 I think that they are showing the swash plate "mod". Its not really a mod as it is included with the chopper. The swashplate has 2 different sets of ball links. 2 that are short for slower flight, and 2 that are long for faster flight. All you have to do is diconnect the connecting arms and move them to the longer balls to have a faster chopper. The other mod they show is the Red body and tail, which are sold seperately.

  • Outstanding video Dave! I love my mSR even after the full month of not flying it due to waiting for parts. And Dave, what is the 3rd song that you have for the majority of the video? Is it your own creation? I love it!! : )

  • Should i get the msr? ive flown a mcx a few times and i know all the controls so should i get the msr?

  • YES, I was trying to make the same decision a few weeks ago. I just decided to go for it an spend the extra money because I was worried about getting bored with the mCX. I could not be happier!! It is SO stable. Also, I have yet to break any parts, and have had numerous 'light' crashes. I say go for it, and good luck!

  • hey did you know that i have a blade msr and i got the RTF one and it came with a charger so i don't need batterys it did not look like yours came with an ac adapter?

  • Man I have the blade msr and I like it alot. I wish they the company would come out with a new blade msr but in a 400 or an 500 size or even 600 to 700 size. I mean the same set up as the mini blade msr but make it much bigger with a stronger brushless motor so that it can fly in 20mph winds. Also have different type of fuselage's for it and the mini....man that would be sweet.

  • @BIGGBULLxxx its called the blade sr look on eflight website

  • lol they have mate its called the blade sr

  • just bought a solo pro 2 heli. flies great, lovely little heli, bit cheaper than the msr but a good alternative.

  • Outstanding!

Question: Can you leave the batteries in the charger until you need them or should you remove them once they are charged?

    Happy New Year!

  • @shield400 Instructions say do not leave battery in charger when the charger is not connected to power because it discharges the battery a bit or sometimes entirely.

  • Yeah, you should remove them when they are done charging regardless of whether or not the charger power is still connected, from my understanding.

  • How does the mSR compare to the Exceed Mini Spark?

  • @CJVideoProductions Its ALOT easier to fly than the mini spark. It is also a bit larger. I would imagine that it would be hard to fly the mini spark outdoors at all. The slightest breeze would kill it.

  • Since I posted that original comment I got an mSR. I LOVE that thing!! So much fun!!

  • I just about crapped myself when I heard the noise edited into the crash. Great vid!

  • i love all your vids Dave...good job! would be very cool to meet you in person. good luck

  • Me to i cant wait, if only it flew outside.

  • Im getting Msr BnF and Mcx Bnf tonight with my christmas money. I will use my cx 2 trans..

  • Wow this is really nice for a basic, lower priced helicopter, unlike all the ones that can only move forward slowly.

  • @XanaduZune $200+au is lower priced?

  • Yea it's low compared to paying a thousand dollars. $180 (USD) is not that big a deal to me.

  • I want one bad!! I just got an MCX and I'm kicking myself in the ass for doing that. I was bored with it after 2 days!

  • Great machine. Beginner with no RC Experience, but I am a licensed Helicopter pilot and instructor (Not Current for over 25 years) this is way tooooo cooool.

  • lol about the crash against each other. i was really hoping one would fly under the other and get smacked into the ground by downwash.

  • Thats what my friend and i would do about 3 years back. im into hobby rc now, but at first we would try to smack each other into the ground with PiccoZ's lol

  • hey, e-flite came out with a new mcx tandem heli, has navi lights too. u shud check it out, i think u'd b rly interested in it!

  • where can you but it for 139?

  • that thang is fast

  • Nice video, I am thinking of getting one of these and this really helped. What is a swashmod + Hardflying? Thanks.

  • @ygo2slow , don't modify it, just have fun, it will keep U busey for weeks, enjoy

  • hey can someone tell me what the flight time on the Esky BELT-CP 450 V2 is?

  • 6-7 minutes with the stock battery.

  • Personally I find the rudder control a bit snappy. I have a dx7 and softening up the exponential on the rudder does help a bit but still....

  • Nightflyyer, can I just say that if youtube were ever to run a competition to find the most helpful, friendly and genuinely courteous person on their site, you would get my vote.

  • hi Dave....Im still learning with my cx3...but Im crashing all the times....inside my house is quite small...and outside i cant fly because the wind...what do you thing if I get a mcx to improve my skills? I can get the bind and fly because I already have the radio....thanks for the great video

  • hey nightflyyer and others, i want a helicopter (unfortunely only a toy) besides havoc heli, havoc razor and it has to be air hogs. any ideas within the next week?

  • Air hogs helis are all the same, once you fly one, you flew them all. Go buy a micro mosquito 4x4, ($40), and level up with a toy grade 4ch. Then get a blade CX3.

    Have fun!

    :)

  • @spongenaruto blade mcx

  • what is the level of skill compared to the mcx? i fly 3 channel helis and i need to move up to 4 chanel

  • I've had my msr for a few weeks, I should slow down a bit, but I gotta say its so durable, I have hit the wall (erm x4), the light (2x), several bushes (lost count) and a landrover (oh and the ground a few times, hehehe). Damage? a slight mark on one blade. Still flying like new, I'm obiously no KnightFlyer but this heli is in my humble opinion an almost perfect move up from a MCX, CX2/3 or any decent 4ch contra rotator. Its just great.

  • When I was at the hobby shop some other guys were complaining about the blade grips.

Yes the grips do seem to be the weak link on the MSR but guys they are cheap and easy to replace.

If the grips were more robust the shock of crashes would be transferred to parts that cost more and are more difficult to replace.

Friends of mine have had to replace the tail boom, but comparatively its inexpensive as well.

If you can fly any coaxial heli the MSR is your best next step.

  • I love the MSR, I've had mine for 1 month now and finally broke the blade grips.

I went to the hobby shop and for $6 it was back up in the air.

Guys this is incredible, when I first got into the hobby 20 years ago it seems to me you could not fix anything on a rc helicopter for less than $50.

This a great time to get into the hobby.

My 10 year old girl is begging for one for her birth day and she is going to get one,

I love the fact that I can afford to share the hobby with her.

  • Do you know the LORD JESUS CHRIST?

  • glad you got to try this amazing heli

ive had mine for about 4 weeks and loving it

its sooooo fast and agile yet very stable too and i love the adjustable swash :D

im also kitting mine out with the glow parts it looks awesome at night even outdoors you can see it alot better

    very cool heli :D

    great vid dave!

  • Can you do a reveiw on the parkzone vapor?

  • got a short question to anyone. Does the specktrum DX5e work on this helicopter? just making sure and Dave awesome Flying.

  • wow Dave for some reason I thought You got em free cause, you do a review on them.

  • great, just some questions, how much does a battery lasts? how much it takes to charge? does the Bind and Fly version comes with RX? if it doesn't, what RX you reccomend to fit on it?

  • hi Dave nice vid again

just o let you know was going to ask you about this little gem but i got one on order the BnF version

    cheers Garry uk

  • wow! excellent FFF. I saw this yesterday at a local hobby store and have heard the buzz. Nice video demonstration. I may have to pick one up.

Does it come with a TX?

  • Yes... the RTF or ready-to-fly version comes with it's own radio, but I think it is better (though more $) to get a Spektrum DX6i like I have and get the BNF or bind-n-fly version for about $30 less than the RTF version.

  • Put some heat shrink on the motor, worked great for me. And it doesn't get hot, stops the cap from popping off

  • This little bird is great to fly but has one terrible weakness: the exposed tail motor. Although the heli took loads of crashes like they were nothing, finally the tail motor popped open and needed repair. This meant buying the entire tail boom assembly at 15% of the heli kit's price! I'm looking for a way of protecting that motor. Anone have an idea? I thought about putting a drop of hot glue on the end to cover the wires and solidify the cap. What about it?

  • "joehandsome99 bored" hahahah nice

  • Dave, great video to show the true performance out of these little beauties. Big fan of all the vids!

Any chance you can roller skate and fly at the same time....LOL

    Clear Skies and happy flying.

  • Haha. Better look through my videos, cause I have skated while flying gas helicopter in the dark even. Maybe I will do another someday, when the snow melts. LOL. Thanks for your comments.

  • Hi Sir Dave.. are you familiar with WALKERA micro 3D 4G3 heli? it so nice than that heli right?
