Thank you for sharing this beautiful hymn, despite the drums being a little over powering. None of us are perfect but Him, we must do what we can, and let the love of our Lord finish it in our hearts...Love is not judgemental, It is understanding...Praise be to our Lord, may He Bless and Guide each one of us...
I actually pretty much know this song by heart, except a few words. Like, "AND THEN I CRIED, DEAR JESUS", I always seem to say "and then I cried OUT," :p
there are several versions as this song is quite old. i have seen several different versions but the basics are the same. just give god the glory and enjoy . if you want to learn the origional version just look at the artist name in the hymnal it will guide you best. thanks for posting
Watch those fills on the drums buddy! they are throwing you off a little bit. If you played to a metronome you'd never play an out of time fill ever again. just a suggestion.
Uhm...I don't know what that comment about gay marriages has to do with this video in particular. But obviously, any pastor who condones and/or performs gay marriages is clearly violating everything the Bible says about homosexuality and should not be a pastor. Unfortunately, there are a lot of pastors out there who do condone such things, and they are pushed forward by the same gay people who think it's okay. Those are the people who cause others to hate Christians in general (stereotyping).
also, its alot eaisier to tell people come check out my band than to tell people come check out my youthgroup. we have even gotten non-believers to come just to check us out and they have been comming ever since. Also when we needed a guitarist, the only person that came up to us wasnt a christian and now, he has accepted Christ and is actually giving us ideas about christian songs we should do and telling us that hes putting this show in Gods hands. this is 2 a comment by CIR229
The gospel is sung many different ways, i am a drummer in a christian rock band that plays at our youth group every week and also on my church's worship team. I think if your going to spread the gospel you have to kinda meet the people half way. In our youthgroup band, we meet people half way. Still sticking to the gospel but putting it in forms that kids today like, im not telling you your wrong but thats what i think
I think there is nothing wrong with drums in church, why shouldn't drummers be able to express their love for God through THEIR instruments? I understand what you mean though.
@kiekie84 I am afraid you are brainwashed beyond repair. You are nothing but a weak human sheep, stuck inside a shell of ignorance like 90% of all other humans. You will never wake up.
I like the song, but I don't like drums in gospel songs, especialy here he/she is way too loud.... sorry. And I was bought by the lord on July 29, 2007 And im still going strong! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
amen He won me over in July 2006 and he will never loose me. since then I had so many blessings that i can't even count for.. A new family, a wife and a baby on the way, what more can i ask for..

Whoa, just noticed; don't wanna be a goody goody tushu, but the lyrics in the descruption have an error.
"HOW HE GAVE HIS LIFE
ON CALVARY
TO SAVE SOMEONE LIKE ME"
I think it's "a wretch like me". :)
justjustinme 3 years ago
I checked several version all say saved someone like me, some people may sing it
as wretch like me because it is similar to
Amazing Grace. Either way as long as you are
praising God you can sing however you like.
I also added some info about the author after
the lyrics.

We do not perform Gay Marriage for the very
simple reason that it is outside of Gods plan.
We also do not hate Gays or anyone else
pastor Abel has done a number of messages
on Marriage. go to our channel and type in
the word marriage in the video search box.

whut happened to
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.
