I'm refreshing my math before I head back to college. I haven't had been in a math class for about 10 years. I'm going through Khan Academy for refreshing but just wasn't understanding logs. Thanks for helping clarify! One thing I am struggling with is the why we have logs. My husband has been trying to explain they are useful with computers and I read the creator of logs made them to help astronomers. I guess I don't understand why we just don't use the Exponential Form instead.

Yes, these videos were originally designed for adults who returning to school after many years off. But I do find it interesting that there are a number of kids who seem to learn math from them.. and that's what I'm all about...doing some math and having some fun :)

I would agree that this is not difficult for me at all...but that's probably because I've been teaching this concept for the past 15 years or so. These videos are designed for students who have been away from math for sometime. Some students recall the concept quickly and some do not. Once the concept is understood you're absolutely right...it is not complex and difficult at all. This video is all about doing some math and having some fun! Thanks for your feedback.

nice video and very helpul keep up the good work, but i cannot get it i im really not good in math and in school, i will continue to boxing or mma and try my luck, and quit to school, i think school is not 4 me, specially my college course is very difficult

asgdfgdf, thanks for your comment. My first attempt at college did not go well for me. I just wasn't ready for it and I found myself going nowhere. So I quit college and my Mom helped me decide the best thing for me to do was to join the military. After 7 years I went back to school. I have students in my math classes of all ages, grandparents too; who left college themselves at one time or another. If you do leave school, always remember that it is never too late to come back.
